There wiz a German laddie, Peter Schilling, who wrote a continuation o’ Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’. As Ye all ken, Major Tom’s ship malfunctions and he loses communication wi’ groond control but Schilling gies us a possible ending, like... Major Tom has been up so long, been driven mad and noo believes he belongs in space. When he reconnects with groond control, he tells them farewell and cuts the channel.
