Those Posts were IDIOTIC When You Made Them and NOW You See Why...

Kownacki Would've Left the Ring in Worst Condition than Szpilka, Had That Been Wilder Instead of Helenius...

There is a back story to that fight. Earnie forgot his Adidas rubber soled boxing shoes and had to borrow a pair of Ponys with slick leather soles and could not get any traction to dig in and deliver his shots and was sliding. That is a terrible feeling it happened to me once. Say what you want about him, but he did knock out two heavyweight champions in the first round and was one punch away from being heavyweight champion twice. He knocked out Larry Holmes with a right hand and when Holmes hit the floor, the impact woke him up. Shavers is the one that finished off Muhammad Ali physically, his grenades were the final nail in the coffin.

Morrison never had the legs to go with his upper body, like Wilder whom I knew it was only a matter of time until his toothpick legs failed him.

Well he had more than Stander and Wepner, who were basically flabby cut prone guys with no real coordination or muscle tone or anything.

If he had any grit he'd have made a bit of noise.

I mean, he beat the same Foreman that laid out Moorer.......but Stander couldn't have done that, in 1974, 1984 or 1994.

The referee missed a knockdown that happened directly in front of him. I don't know that I have ever seen that before, not of a fight that was on the level.

Naseem Hamed Vs Augie Sanchez. Sanchez scored a clear knockdown on Naz right in front of the ref and it was called a slip. It wasn't as damaging as the shot landed in the Helenius fight but it was still an obvious knockdown.

Vaguely recall that. Sanchez stepped in after Junior Jones turned down One Million Dollars to fight Hamed and got wiped out in his next fight for practically nothing compared to that.

I still think Helenius can make a bit of noise. But he will probably go back to drinking now.

Kownacki May or May Not Have Been Able to Clear His Head Had an 8-Count Been Administered...

Instead, He Got Hurt Even WORSE, Dropped Again and it was Downhill from There...He Got Up Toooooooooooo QUICKLY On the 2nd Knockdown...Legs Weren't Under Him...

Neil Mentioned Helenius vs. the Dubois-Joyce Winner, Which Would Be Interesting...Helenius vs. Usyk as Well...

Helenius Showed Some FuryESQUE Qualities Last Night and ASSuming Wilder-Fury 3 ISN'T Next, Helenius Wouldn't Be a Bad Option for Wilder to Work On Some New Wrinkles Against...

That Said, REED Wouldn't Blame Helenius @ All if he SAT on His Newly Acquired Mandatory Shot @ the WBA Title...That's a Certified Lottery Ticket...

True. The blown call might have affected the result a great deal. Considering how easily Kownacki went back down, it seemed he didn't realise either what had just happened.

If Kow got the eight count, he might have been able to back away for a moment and chances are that Helenius' stamina would have given in after a few rounds

Probably not. The Helenius hype was at its highest 10 years ago, when 9000 people turned out to watch him fight Chisora. Back then he lived in Germany and things went quickly downhill after that bout.

Now, he lives in the Aland, which is an island between Finland and Sweden (belongs to Finland, language spoken is Swedish which is Helenius' best language too). So we don't really see him here

Boxing doesn't have the same hype it had here ten years ago and this bout went mainly unnoticed beforehand, as people are used to the fact that Helenius has long been over the hill. Now boxing people got excited, but they are a small bunch

Helenius apparently still has one fight left in his contract with PBC. Thus, the most likely opponents would seem to be Charles Martin, Ruiz or Ortiz maybe.

I think Helenius could beat Usyk. Usyk is a hype job. I don't care how he beat Bellew, Bellew was no great shakes and certainly no heavyweight.

If Helenius of Troy catches Usyk with the same rights Bellew did, he's gonna KO him.

I think Ysyk would be stylistically nightmarish for Helenius. Helenius can punch with his right, but his timing is poor, defense porous and his stamina is good for about five rounds.

Usyk, if he fought smart, would be too quick and outwork him clearly

Surprising result. Last time I saw Helenius he was fodder for Dillian Whyte and was beaten somewhat comprehensively.

Probably is, actually, although I never really rated Kownacki I didn't expect him to lose to Helenius. Was the Cuban Olympic gold medallist who lost his pro debut this year or last year? That was a shocker.

    agREED...

It's Not Like Kownacki was a "Can't Miss" Future World Champ, or Anything Close...

Still, PBC Fully Expected Helenius to Be a "Showcase" Opponent for Kownacki...Even a UD Over Helenius Would've Been Considered a Disappointment...A KO LOSS was UNfuckingFATHOMABLE...

REED's 70%-75% Sure the Cuban Upset was Late 2019...

Sorry, but this fat fuck literally fights like Butterbean ... he sucks terribly ... if he’s any better at boxing than Ron Stander, he hasn’t illustrated it in the ring ... he’s definitely fatter though

Stander was tough. That's about it. A lot of these white guys from that era had head like rocks. Only Quarry, who was the best of them by faaaar, wound up punchy.

It's ironic. Quarry knew how to slip punches. He wound up with Dementia.

Wepner couldn't slip on a wet floor but he's appearing at Mike Tysons licence hearing and giving testimony about a year before Quarry died.

Cobb, Stander, Chuvalo, Wepner all had heads like granite. They're all old men and can all still conduct themselves.

The quality guys from that era all went out hard. Ali, Frazier {Frazier didn't even make 70} Norton had health problems and died at 70 and was slurring in the 1980's

Foreman made it cos he quit for 10 years in the middle. He didn't do distance stuff anyways.
