Eder Jofre vs Carlos Zarate

Who wins?

 

Jofre 15 round decision. I saw Zarate defend his title in Houston and he must have been frightening to face down in the ring. He was like a smaller Alexis Arguello, but I think Jofre outboxes him.

 

I think Jofre knocks Zarate out around 12 or so

 

IYO, who was the best boxer Zarate ever beat?

 

I think Jofre knocks him out as well at some point.

 

2 Alfonso Zamora and Albert Davila

 

Would have gone with Zamora myself. I like Zarate, but feel his resume is a bit weak for an ATG, especially when you consider how easily he was destroyed by Gomez

 

He really beat Lupe Pintor who was a great fighter

 

Pintor looked like “WTF??” when they read the scores in his favor

only other time I’ve seen the winner look that surprised is Bradley against Pacquiao

 

Yeah, Zarate-Pintor was probably the worst decision of the 70s.

 

Davila was probably better than Zamora.

 

Certainly the weirdest

 

At the very least he had more longevity
