Classic offense vs defense. Which wins?

Tszyu was better. Close fight, but I think he takes a dec. Unless it's in Argentina where they will gave every rounds to Locche, even the ones when he run around and barely throws any punches

Locche wasn’t a runner at all

Locche by decision... I think Tszyu is too methodical

Yeah, I dunno what the Hell JOM is talking about.

There's no fight or fight footage of Locche running.

He certainly didn't run from Paul Fuji, who was a MURDEROUS puncher.

He didn't run from Carlos Hernandez either, who was also a big puncher.

I dunno for sure if he benefited from many fortunate decisions in Argentina - you're mainly going off the Carlos Ortiz fight. Although the full fight doesn't exist, supposedly Ortiz was robbed blind in that fight.

Even so, Ortiz is an all time great (and a much better technician than Tszyu). That doesn't mean Locche was over there getting gifts over nobodies.

I think Locche would have big style problems against guys like Pryor, Floyd, Benitez, Whitaker, ect, but I think Tszyu's style is good for him.

Maybe running wasn't the best term, i should say playing it cute and only doing some bullshit defensive move. And lool at locche being a better technician than tszyu. His punching technique was beyond terrible.

You seem to be confusing reflexes with technique

Read again - I said Carlos Ortiz was a better technician than Tszyu.

Hmmm, I dunno. Maybe Tszyu does beat Locche.

I guess the difference between Locche and other defensive masters like Floyd, Benitez, and Whitaker is that those guys would have enough pop to keep Tszyu honest. Not sure if Locche can keep him off.

But I think at times Locche would bamboozle Tszyu.

    Yeah my mistake

And disagreed. I would say the biggest difference between true defensive master and Locche is that these guys would also counter you and making you pay when you miss. Locche was doing all these slick dodges, but was barely throwing any counters.

As for the fight, I think that Tszyu is too strong in the end for Locche. It would be ugly, and he would look like crap for long part of the bout, but at the end, he would imposed himself on Locche, much like Cervantes did in the re

Locche UD. I never really got the whole Tszyu thing to be honest, good fighter but I was never overly impressed.

Locche would make Tszyu quit simply by Willie Pep'ing him

Lol here we go. Locche is a litte cute dude and Zoo will mug him, headbutt him, wrestle him, slow him down and start banging him everywhere. Those straight shots will land eventually. Plus if Zoo can't find you, he'll just go Greco-Roman.

I got Zoo by ref stoppage.

He'd probably pick Steve Irvin to beat Ray Robinson, and Russell Crowe to beat George Foreman.

On second thought, I probably am taking Tszyu over Locche.

It just comes down to Locche not having enough offense to keep Tszyu off with.

Once again, when I think of other master boxers/defensive specialists at 140 (Floyd, Benitez, Whitaker) those guys all had enough offense to keep Tszyu at bay and off balance. Not so much the case with Locche.

Locche could make ANYBODY miss, but he probably doesn't have enough "make you pay" to deter Tszyu.

I see it as hard to score... some will like Tszyu’s aggression even if it accomplishes little... others will like Locche’s ability to render that aggression incompetent and score with his jab

    Yep that's it.

Plus Zoo's offense was damn good, not the bum of the month winging shots show seen in Locche highlight vids.
