I don't doubt the glove is loose and it does look odd but there is no tangible benefit to doing it. You're more likely to end up breaking your own hand.

See i interpreted that video as suggesting the fight was fixed and therefore Fury's gloves were engineered so he wouldn't hurt Wilder. But that's kind of stupid i guess.
