It would be much simpler situation if Liverpool had already secured enough points to win the league. Ending the season would obviously lose a lot of money but in the end all the results would be only academic anyway.

Liverpool have won the title, yes, but anything could happen between the time the season kicks off again and the final whistle on the final day. Nothing is set in stone. For all we know Norwich could go on a six game winning run () and Leeds could drop out of the top 2 in the Championship and lose out in playoffs (again) ().

 

It's like a took a trip to England to watch football and gamble on football and when I got there everything was canceled.

Albeit that you jest but if Liverpool had already won the league it would OBLIGE the Premier League to recommence the League, as they simply couldn't void it when they already had a champion.

 

LOL. Thanks for coming all the way doon from Scotland. Sorry I didn't make it back out for session #2 but I had quite an adventure later that night. I got into it with some Liverpool fans (for cheering a little too loudly for Atletico.) Then had my wallet stolen only to get it back with my money (about £60 and $42) gone. But thank the fuck Christ, they didn't take my debit or credit cards or I would have been extremely fucked.

BTW, the bar that was briefly called The Oliver Cromwell, was the last one we drank together in. The Lamplighter. The Bell is owned by the same business group but attracts way more low lives.
