After watching all of his fights,..he is the modern day Hamed.
Both flashy, both quick, both powerful,..and both hold their hands low.
Hamed had the chin to deal with it.
    Does Teofimo?

Teofimo's Got a More Technically Solid BASE, but There's Traces of Prince Hamed There for Sure; Unorthodox Angles, Single-Shot Power, Supreme Confidence, Showmanship, etc...He's Taking FEWER Risks as the Level of Competition Increases Though...

Haven't Seen Teofimo Chin Checked But he FIGHTS Like a Guy That BELIEVES In his Punch Resistance...

He Stood in the Pocket and Beat Commey to the Punch w/the Right Hand that Effectively Ended that Bout...Commey Can PUNCH As Well, But Teofimo was Brave Enough to Stand In There, Tilt His Head a Couple Inches to His Left and Fire His Own Powerful Right Hand...

A Fighter That's Been Dropped/Hurt a Lot in Sparring WOULDN'T Have the Courage to Stand and Trade w/a Certified BOMBER Like Commey...

Lopez is also still hungry going into what will likely be the most skilled guy he faces, unlike hamed was

REED Wouldn't Bet On That Mob...

This is a DANGEROUS Ass Fight for Loma Bruh...Teofimo's Younger, Bigger, Stronger, Just as Athletic and Will Be THE Hardest Puncher Loma's EVER Faced, for Certain...

If Linares Can Drop Loma and Campbell Can Buzz Loma, Teofimo Lopez Can STOP Loma...Not Saying it WILL Happen, but it's Definitely Possible...More Likely than Loma "Toying" w/Lopez, in REED's Opinion...

Sometimes Inexperience is a BLESSING, Or as They Say, Ignorance is BLISS; an Inexperienced Fighter Doesn't Know What he DOESN'T Know, So he Just Fights...

    Great Point...

Teofimo Hasn't Received a Million Dollar Purse Yet...His Commey Purse wasn't Reported but Commey "Only" Received $750K...No Way Would Teofimo Get MORE than the Defending Champ for an ESPN Co-Main Event...

He's HUNGRY as Fuck Still...Unlike Hamed, Who was ALREADY Set for Life Before Ever Stepping Foot on American Soil...

Didn't realise this footage was out there until last week, obviously they're both much improved and Lopez was more inexperienced at the time, but a good watch nonetheless:

Yeah, Tank was Bigger AND Taller than Teofimo in that Clip, Which Hasn't Been the Case for Several Years Now...

He Opened Up on Teofimo Towards the End...Good to See Lopez TAKE It...

He has to Hit Lomachenko, first and foremost to win. Lomachenko is not one of the all time great fighters - he is the best ever at steering and turning a guy around - major difference, sorry to break the bubble of my good friend Max Kellerman. If he ranges the guy out and sets him up underneath first - under being the key word - he can knock Lomachenko out. But being able to knock the guy out and actually doing it are two far different things.

He's also very good and punching those guys repeatedly in the face and body before and after those turns.

Kellerman's hyperbole is not what i was addressing. Lomachenko's accomplishments both in the amateur and professional ranks prove he's special fighter.

For this era which is extremely weak historically speaking, yes.

Disagree Karl, Lomachenko is a special fighter. No disrespect to your opinion, boxing is subjective after all, but regardless of era he's meeting every challenge head on and he's not wasting any time doing it, which is all you can ask of a fighter.

    I'm with Karl.

Loma is a great fighter, but historically speaking he's certainly overrated by many.

Those gyms must be such annoying places to be. So many dickheads in there talking and voicing their pingz. That guy "Helping" Lopez in the sparring clip sounds a real genius. "Watch that righ....watch da lefffff".....ok. Actively told his own man to "work in there" and then when Lopez hits the guy on the back of the head he begs it not to be called off cos "we juss fucking about".

So many morons out there in boxing. Right from Entry Level Mouthpiece Choof Garcia on up.

    :Jest:

It's the Spanish translation of the saying "To be the man, you have to beat the man".

When you brought up Ric Flair and quotes it came to mind.
