Good shouts Reed. I knew McClellan had an amateur win over Roy, didn't realise he was 2-1 however.

Forrest did indeed beat Mosley as an amateur as well. I remember watching the Tszyu fight too, Kostya did a number on him.

He did? I think Crawford beat Mikey.

Mikey "claimed" it was due to Crawford running.

I'm not sure either, but I think it was Danny he faced multiple times.

I know TC beat Mikey, I even heard the Mikey camp mention it. Not sure if they fought multiple times.

32-9 isn't particularly close Doub. Forrest did a little better than I remembered when watching it back, but it was still wide.

Charles Hatley Managed to Beat Keith Thurman Like 1nce Out of 3 or 4 Bouts...Hatley's Nearly 3 FULL Years Older Though:Jest:...

One of The Bouts, Their LAST if Memory Serves, is Arguably THE Most Fan-Friendly Ammy Bout Ever...Thurman and Hatley Bounced Each Other Off the Canvas...Thurman Won Clearly...

Demetrius Andrade's Also a Few Years YOUNGER Than Hatley and Went 3-0 Against Him, Winning MORE Decisively Each Time They Met...

Devon Alexander Beat Hatley as an Ammy Also...

    agREED...

1st Round was Competitive, Tszyu DOMINATED Round 2 and Though Forrest Showed Heart in the 3rd, He was Still Getting Picked Apart...

It's as If Forrest's Head Gear Contained a Magnet that was Attracting Metal from Tszyu's Right Glove to It...Tszyu Almost COULDN'T Miss the Overhand Rights....And Literally, Tszyu's Head/Upper Body Movement NEVER Looked Better in the Pro Fights REED's Seen of His...

Again, 'Preciate You Posting That Bruh!...

    No worries!

I was thinking the same about Tszyu, that's the best I've seen him. I've never been a big Tszyu fan, always thought he was a bit overrated whenever I watched him as a pro, but he looked like the goods there. Wonderful movement.

Pretty sure Tszyu went 2-1 against Forrest. I know for sure he has a second win against Vernon because I saw it live on TV and it's never shown up on tape since. It was probably 1990. The fight everyone knows about is 1991 at the World Ams.

Is That When This “KO of Forrest” Occurred? Or Did That Never Happen?

Jermain Taylor beat Pavlik in the amateurs.

Henry Tillman beat Tyson in the amateurs.

Two examples of the ammys NOT having a bearing on pro matchups.

    Agreed.

It must be remembered that it is a different game even when the rules are similar. Movement and using distance as your primal defense is a very good technique for amateurs but extremely difficult to keep up for 12 rounds. Also since gloves are softer, single mistakes in defense are not as costly.

As for the thread, Sinan Samil Ssm and Sergey Lyakovich both beat Audley Harrison.

And of course the famous ones, such as Tyrell Biggs beat (18-year-old) Lennox
