Tommy Hearns vs Mikkel Kessler

Who wins?

 

Is this the Hearns that beat Kinchen, or are we talking the peak version that went up to fight Andries but gains less weight

 

The later.

 

Hearns for sure. Better jab, better movement, and Kessler doesn't have the punch to compensate

 

Hearns wins. Not a one-sided fight (as Kessler did beat Froch too) but Kessler was bit too predictable and lacking movement to win this

 

I guess what really tips it Tommy's way is that Kessler was a solid, but not big puncher.

 

If Kessler were more of a bomber and had the chance (however remote) of winning via firefight, it’d be one thing but he’s just not that kind of puncher ... I think Hearns outboxes him and stops him eventually

 

Hearns by decision or late TKO then, i think in my mind Kessler is a tad too basic
