You absolutely have to sit through one of these series, in its entirety, paying full attention to the screen, even with the chapters that went straight to the DVD. Which would you pick?
Terrible matchup here. You got a ridiculous spoof film going up against a light comedy that touched on realistic and serious issues. The answer would depend on if I feel like watching a light hearted comedic film about friendship and growing up or do I want to turn my brain off and have a few hard laughs? I love both films but they are too differently themed to be pitted against each other. I think an amazing and difficult matchup is The Wood versus American Pie.
Both are comedies though, and their style of humor is close enough as it is based mainly on physical comedy and single laughs. And sure it depends on what you want to watch, I think that's pretty much given
American Pie comedy is much different than Scary Movie. Scary Movie is is funny because it lampoons other movies and lays bare the cheap tricks that film directors rely on. American Pie is funny in the Animal House manner. I prefer the Scary Movie type comedy but it was executed so poorly I'd probably go with American Pie which at least had Eugene Levy in it.
American Pie. I actually liked all four films. I am not counting Band Camp or the one where Stiffler's little brother was the star.
Some teacher in Oregon was all pissed off after that came out. She said had been teaching for 30 years and now she can't even say her name in class without everyone laughing hysterically. Her name was Mrs. Milf.
