List some movies you've watched during the quarantine which you'd recommend. I saw Overlord - found it very entertaining. Also, saw Midway which despite all the CGI was decent. Also saw The Station Agent which I thought was good. And also They Shall Not Grow Old (again) which was good if you're into WWI.
My thought was people might be more inclined to mention movies they've casually watched in a thread like this - especially movies that are not new releases or that people do not necessarily have thoughts on other than to say it was "good."
Quarantine made me get the Criterion Channel, as Netflix has mostly crap movies. So far I've watched Le Samurai, M, and a few Japanese crime flicks. Also trying to read more. Started 1984 a few days ago.
Well I watched both the epidemic films on netflix, obviously: contagion and outbreak. Enjoyed both. The first has paltrow and judd law yet somehow manages to overcome those massive drawbacks with an engaging prescient plot; the latter has hoffman and freeman, a pumping Predator-style action soundtrack, and LOADS of helicopters, including hoffman in a helicopter fight(!).... and when you've got all that who cares about plot?
Nice. Thanks for letting me know about this. I hadn't even heard of it. It seems before you, nobody was talking about it.
These are the type of choices i wouldve made before my missus moved in....now things seem to sink towards the lowest common denominator
It will be many moons before Ye will be able tae take in the pure majesty o' 'Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo'.
