There are facebook groups for women's boxing and the response to Shields is largely negative. She is trying to get Laila Ali (who could never fight much) into the ring in an effort to make some money that she has not- but I doubt any promoter will put up ten million dollars each and there is zero demand for it.

Have to find someone to put up the money first, that is the only slight problem. There is Zero demand for it. Boxing is not a major sport any longer, it hasn't been for many years. I know about women product lines selling angle, REED - Shields does not have the looks or personality as others have to sell anything on a major scale. Laila did/does. Fight will not happen - Shields is living a pipe dream if she thinks it does. I heard she is going into MMA anyway as she can't make any nice money boxing.

Once Nunes gets through with her, she may never box again. That is, if Nunes still has the title after a third meeting with Valentina whom I think beats Amanda soundly and decisively. She's beaten her twice already, but has been jobbed - don't look for that to happen again. We'll see as the year progresses along if that Shields fight comes off - Dana White is all about the money - who brings in the most - I don't see anyone putting up that kind of money for a boxing match. Laila is yesterday's news - she went out along with VHS tape and needs to stay wherever she's at and keep on doing what she's doing.
