Is Starling is out his league here?

No this is a real even fight. Starling would match up well with Griffith and Paret also. He was stronger than Rodriguez. No pick yet have to think it out. Flip a coin - Feo was at his best when a strong guy like Carter came to him, Starling wouldn't walk in like that - he could pull it off. It would be a chess match to be sure - flip a coin.

I'd say that Rodriguez was at his best when he outboxed Griffith in their 2nd fight.

He was a lot quicker of hand and foot than Starling, though I'll concede if Starling has an edge in it's physical strength.

I'd have to favor El Feo though, just a classier technician.

Don't worry, Rodriguez and Starling would watch film of Thurman and Berto to enhance their skills.

Starling burned about 1/8 the calories Thurman did avoiding a shot

I thought Griffith won that fight, surely wasn't anything to take a title from a Champion, IMO. That was an Angelo Dundee vs. Gil Clancy showdown right there. I liked Rodriguez but wasn't a big fan. I am old enough to have seen him get knocked out as a child and that is probably why.

Rodriguez held his own and then some with Cassius Clay and taught him a lot - so he may have won, yeah.
