Initially I was gonna say, "Bad style matchup for Pea. Definitely Norris." But then I considered - there's a rather astronomical gap between these two in terms of intelligence and mental strength. One was a cool-headed genius.... the other a hot-headed idiot. It's not far-fetched to believe Pea could frustrate Norris into doing something stupid. I'd still favor Norris though. Probably too big and too fast for Pea. But just like Judah and Khan, with Norris ya never know.
I doubt that. Whitaker in 95 still a decent amount left in the tank, although he was past his peak. I think Norris 8-4 is more realistic.
It wouldn't be too shocking to see Norris giving out the treatment that Tito did but instead of building on it going overboard and then end up with a dq loss for his efforts.
Tito fought in Whitaker in 99 when Pea had zero left in the tank. In this matchup we're talking 95... that's two years BEFORE Pea got robbed against the cross dresser. I doubt Norris gives him a beating

REED, for one, Vasquez was a bull with big-time power and there's no guarantee Norris would have beaten him. Pea in ONE FIGHT beat a better opponent than Norris did in his entire junior middleweight reign. Also, Norris, to my knowledge, only faced one southpaw during his reign - Carl Daniels. Terry him took him apart, but I don't think I have to tell you that Daniels couldn't shine Pea's boots. Pea had enough reflexes, smarts, and moxie left in 95 to not only last the distance with Norris, but be COMPETITIVE. If the question was Whitaker vs Hearns at 154, absolutely, Pea gets stopped. Whitaker vs McCallum, Pea also gets stopped. But Terry Norris was not on the level of guys like that, and Whitaker give a good account of himself in a losing effort.
Offensively norris was more dangerous than mccallum imo. Especially for a guy like Whitaker. Norris was a lot less methodical than mike, i don't think pea would ever be able to figure him out, and he doesnt have the power to deter him

Yeah, Norris is not stopping Whitaker in 95, at a point where Pea wasnt washed up yet. Whitaker would go on to arguably BEAT Oscar two years later, yet Norris is just gonna run him over? Ummm, no. That's why McDogg and I get tired of the overrating of Terry Norris. Whitaker is not getting stopped like Taylor and Curry. Pea had a lot more toughness and defense than Taylor, and far more heart and grit than the questionable hearted Curry.
Let's get this straight... this has NADA to do with styles. Norris wins on SIZE alone. If they were the same natural weight, Pea would kick the shit outta Norris.
