    Prelims

    Luque/Price - Amazing fight right out the gate. I was rooting for Price but Luque definitely earned my respect.

    Esparza/Waterson - Not a fan of either fighter but found myself strongly rooting for E. I’ve noticed lately that Waterson is a boring and overrated striker. She’s too cautious and looks like someone who never spars but simply does shadow fighting and bag work as much of her shots have zero snap or power and her punches are delivered too far out of range. Glad she lost.

    Oleinik/Werdum - Surprisingly interesting HW fight. I thought for sure Ole would get stopped or submitted due to what I thought was an unsustainable pace and his inability to hurt Werdum after hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink. Apparently Ole’s cardio was too good.

    Cerrone/Petis - Looked good on paper but entertainment wise Petis has been a major letdown since his glory days. Still though, this one was pretty good. I think Petis’ problem is that he’s more finesse than toughness and I think Cerrone’s toughness is what made it such a close one where I actually thought Cowboy should have won.

    Ferguson is a truck. Great martial physique, long and lean and angular, languid style, very hard man, great chin, brave.

    But that Gaethje looked like the MMA version of Canelo.

    A bit squat, a bit "fat" and short, but severe explosiveness with the short sharp shots. Best striker I have seen for a while. He actually punches, he doesn't "strike"

    Awesome fight, both guys not paid enough. And a seminal moment in sports history too, they got it on and told the virus and the doom mongers to fuck off.

    Well done MMA.

    He's been around for ages. And in any martial or physical activity, if the games/fights don't get you, the training will. He's been around for a decade at the highest level in a hard sport.

    He was busting up and I've never seen a guys legs bleed like that. Jesus of Nazareth had more left in the tank late on Friday than he did.

    The guy Gaethje seems to have a short explosive game that is just fast enough for the long languid style of Ferguson who has slowed down just enough.
