Enzo was offensively a very very good fighter who simply never believed he could win the big fights. The power was there and his uppercut was lethal.

His pre-fight parading in the week of the Haye fight was terrible.....he was scared stiff and fought stiff too. That version of Haye would have been gassed after 3 round and Enzo could always do 12 rounds. He also had none of Calzaghes gifts which mean the useless trainer he had became a hindrance. Enzo Calzaghe couldn't teach a fucking dog to to have fleas. He was hopeless. That mong was a former jazz musician who got TRAINER OF THE YEAR from Ring Magazine for having the fortune to have sired a very very good boxer.

The fact that Jones lost to him shows you how far Jones had gone. Once Enzo knew there was nothing coming back he would fire with impunity and he could hurt anything he hit.

Waste of a career, really. Got it all wrong. The beating he took vs Haye ended his career but he didn't half end a few of his own along the way.

And so...., he does make it into this thread, again.... for his performance vs Alexander Kotlobay, whom Enzo was brought to Russia to lose to. Kotlobay was being brought along slowly to see if he couldn't make it into the WBO or whatever as a Champ and make money for some scrub promoter in packed out titty bars in St Petersburg.

Macaroni realized right soon that the Russian was a fraud and went to work on him. Shite quality video but you get the idea.

I still feel bad for Cristian Mijarez. He announced his retirement but said he'd have one final fight in his hometown in Mexico. They brought in Wilfredo Vazquez Jr as the opponent. A name guy that should be no real threat to Mijarez. Then they had a big celebration in the town celebrating the great career of their champion. But then the night culminated in Mijarez getting KTFO.

    Dayum!

A career ending beating is detrimental to a boxer's longevity.

I used to hate Leonard in his prime because of the prima donna treatment he got showered by the media, but at this point I felt really bad for him. I mean I was of course rooting for Camacho, but never thought Leonard would be beaten that bad.
