Not many will remember him but he may have been the saddest loser to ever post on boxing sites. Back in the day there were no passwords or anything on most message boards. That guy was a big reason why passwords and usernames came into play.

Does anybody know where in the living fuck Donnybrook went? I know the guy's been gone for like 10-12 years now, but did anyone have contact with him? He's the kinda guy we need to return.

There's a couple guys at Eastside who are excellent boxing posters whom I would consider reaching out to join here. I don't know about them adjusting to the culture. It's far more formal over there, but I think I will start reaching out to some.

It'd also be nice if Muzse posted here more than once every 2 years. But then again, Muzse doesn't really offer the same level analysis that he used to, even when he does post. He was superb in the early 00s.

 

donnybrook is a good dude. he strictly talked boxing, very seldom ventured to other areas of the forums. lost touch with him years ago...

 

muzse offers in-depth analysis when the conversation warrants it, otherwise he won’t bother and keep it simple.

wiser 1878 has been around longer than probably anyone. He was Caligula before that and Mexican Radio even before that. phonetap may have missed an alias because his memory isn’t what it used to be.

Those were the good ole days, like circa 00-04.

You had Muzse, myself, Donnybrook, REED, ect all providing in-depth analysis on big fights. Or even Everlast, who was around a bit before I even joined.

Even Stafford was a lot better back then, I must admit. Sly seemed like a more knowledgeable fan in the early 00s. I think at some point he became a casual and lost touch. He morphed into purely a Floyd groupie instead of a boxing fan.

 

Everlast was alright and wrote professionally. He invited me to meet him in NYC presumably so he could kick the shit out of me. He had a big fewd with Buddy Rydell, suggesting that Buddy lacked girth downstairs and that he ought to "Pick his mothers hole".
Makes me laugh when people "remember the goodtimes" like there ever were any.

Somebody allowed Bad Kitty access to my account so they could put Klansmen in as my avatar. I right clicked the image and saw her name in it and made enquiries.

I actually became online friends with her in the end.

Then there was "Super Marie" or something, she got chased off the fucking forum by scumbags.

Like I said, all this rose tinted shit is just that. Shit. This place was savage before. I remember Cupey going bad and threatening all sorts the night JMM got a draw with Pacquaio.........all you could hear was clowns crying about 3 knockdowns means 10-6 and not 10-7 etc.

 

Ohhh I have not forgotten. I remember it was the wild wild west. But there was just a lot more in-depth boxing debates back then and far more passion.

It was also funny as fuck. Like Esk TRULY and HONESTLY believing he could beat Trinidad.

I also forget that this place (aka s/o) wasnt my first home.

I started at Boxing Fanatics and migrated over here. It had to have been like late 01 or early 02.

 

sly was ALWAYS a floyd groupie, it just got worse as the years went by. phonetap remembers when he used to go back and forth with sly for days and when sly got frustrated, dude created a second alias so he could debate phonetap with both. Lol. years later became friends with sly off forum and he’s a good guy.

Dont remember. All I remember is that he was some stocky Cuban guy from Florida.

I never personally got into it with him, because we were both Tyson fanatics, but I know he pissed a lot of ppl off.
