So, six heavyweights of the 80s face six heavyweights of the 90s. Which team ends up with a better record, if everybody faces everybody? You don't have to single out every matchup, just pick the team that does better in the end and which fights or fighters are the essential ones

    1980s team:
    Holmes
    Tyson
    Spinks
    Witherspoon
    Tucker
    Thomas

    1990s team
    Lewis
    Holyfield
    Bowe
    Moorer
    Ruddock
    Mercer

The 90s team is more top heavy with Lewis, Holy, and Bowe but IMO Holmes and Tyson both had better peaks than those three.

I think Lewis' peak was the best of them all but otherwise I agree.

I'd give the nod to the 90s. Out of the 80s team Tyson and Holmes have the potential to beat everybody, but the same goes for 90s team and Lewis and Holyfield. So I'd say those four split victories, one way or another.

The key factor is Bowe, who IMO would beat all the rest from the 80s and would have a chance even with Holmes (Tyson is unwinnable for him) and secure points from them.

Keep your incel yapping out of boxing discussion and concentrate on your own "humorous" threads .

Moorer is there as a linear, undisputed champion who also was a player in the division. So even though he might not be among the six best of the decade, he represents the level pretty well. Same goes with Spinks

    The 1970s team is better:
    Muhammad Ali
    Joe Frazier
    George Foreman
    Ken Norton
    Larry Holmes
    Jerry Quarry

    Pisses on Faggotobe Kidding´s list.

Sure, and none of the teams mentioned here would win the Stanley cup in hockey either, but that hardly was the point, was it?

No, I was making the point like I did with your last attempt at a ´team face-off´ using all-time Lakers v Bulls.

I corrected you then and I´m correcting you now.

But you know, if I wanted to ask what people think about 60s vs 80s, then maybe I would have asked that.

Now the idea was to compare the level between 80s and 90s

Definitely pick 90's. Aside from Tyson and Holmes, I don't make any of those guys heavy favorites over the 90's lineup. And Lewis, Holyfield and Bowe more than balance out those guys.

But if you take Tyson, Holmes, Lewis, Bowe and Holyfield out of the picture, we are left with some intriguing fights indeed.

    Moorer vs. Spinks?

    Mercer vs. Thomas?

    Ruddock vs. Tucker?

No clear favorites in these fights. But I'd pick the 90's guys if I had to choose.

I'd lean towards the 80s guy in each case, pretty strongly in the first two cases. If the best version of Mercer shows up he might well edge Thomas but itd be close
