Villa vs Sheffield United. What a way to relaunch the season......0-0 after 70 odd minutes after Sheffield clearly robbed.

Rise of the Machines? Demise of the Machines more like it.

Very hard to know what to make of the football so far. It's the longest break these guys have ever taken and it's compounded by no pre-season and they are all being parachuted straight back into a situation where they have NO training, the longest break of their lives, no pre-Season AND 9 games to secure their season and in some cases their careers as players at certain clubs.

It's beyond description. The way Norwich played yesterday, taking chances on their own half-way line, Arsenal look like a bunch of guys who won a competition to play for Arsenal.......that Watford vs Leicester game was good, entertaining, great goals, but they both looked so mistake prone.

Music pounding everywhere around here now. Lots of gays out buying wine and effeminating in the street. Shiny happy people.

Country is fucked, you wouldn't know it though.

Anyone who needs s good laugh, Arsenal Fan TV has had social distanced watch parties for their matches. They have condensed versions of the "highlights" that are about ten minutes long. Reality has set in with these guys.

Tomorrow is the big one. Liverpool have not won at Goodison in a long time. The odds actually widened on Everton there tonight.

This is Evertons chance now. No Salah and no Robertson, and no crowd to spur Everton into making mistakes.

If the league had ended when it stopped.........there'd have been murder.

You'd have had everybody claiming that they'd have been staying up and everybody claiming Liverpool were only "Half Champs".

And........it would have been the very fans you speak of that would have been raging.

.....based on what I have seen so far, it had to restart sooner than later, half of these lads have forgotten how to play.

Davies missed a chance that I'd have taken.

Tonight was a fucking dirge fest. 1 point closer to the title, but that's it.

I thought Everton played well defensively. The back four looked solid. Some sloppy passing on offense especially in the first half. Then they finally got their shit together with ten minutes to play.

A draw against the club in first place isn't a bad day though.

Well its a fine mess i agree and maybe this is the least bad solution but...ive still got no interest in watching it. I really sympathise that after 30+ years *this* is how liverpool win the title. If i was a fan i think id rather have lost it

Tough game, I think that's 0-0 these past three games now at Goodison. This year is turning into a major drag.

That's why I got so angry about it. And make no mistake, as Liverpool inch towards the line, the mother of all lockdown breakers grows ever closer. And the papers will be full of it.

"Not a real season, when you think about it".

    "Scousers go mad......Covid spike"

    Etc etc

And it's not like Liverpool played shite this year. It was a rollicking good season........and here we are days from July listening to Commodore 64 farts piped into a stadium via a pipe.

Have to win it first but........Yes.

Anybody at the BBC or SKY who thinks that Liverpool are just going to sort of say "And that's a wrap, see you next year"........just cos there are no fans inside.......is full of it.

That place is going to be bouncing.

I think Arteta is the right man for the job at Arsenal... and aside from the Olympiakos match, they were making noticeable strides forward. However, they have regressed since the break - for whatever reason.

That brighton game was depressing. makes me wish they never started football back up again.

Mate I have no idea what is going with Arsenal. They basically have no identity as a team right now. I don't know what they want to do. It's like a boxer who doesn't know if he is a pressure guy or a brawler or a boxer or whatever........

That was some vintage Liverpool. Put a fiver on Palace to draw at 3-0 just in case.

The tragedy of life........there was a tribute tonight to a Liverpool steward who died during the lockdown. Corona killed him.

At least he died knowing the title was as good as won. Life is cruel.

LFC legends' poignant messages to stadium worker before he died

I struggled through those Arsenal games., very poor. Arteta seems to be a capable guy but its gonna take a lot of money and even more luck for Arsenal to seriously challenge again

That performance last night only enhances Everton's legacy.
