Give me Hearns. Monzon wouldn't enjoy his usual size advantage against Hearns, and the hitman jab and movement would cause him a lot of trouble. And Monzon wasnt a lightsout puncher, so hearns chin wouldn't be too much of an issue
If ANYBODY Could Dent Monzon's Chin it's Hearns... That Said, the SAFE Pick is Monzon by Late Stoppage...His Punch Resistance, Physicality and Stamina Would Take a Toll...Hearns Would Win a 12 Rounder But Monzon Eventually Gets to Him in a 15 Rounder...
agREED. Monzon wouldn't be able to dominate the fight with his jab as he was so accustomed to doing but there is too much of a difference in stamina and durability. As each round passes it would get worse for Tommy even if/when he's won them, while Monzon would still have more gears to shift into.
The Hell does that have to do with this chin? OMG you're random. And yes, I agree that Monzon stops Hearns late. With a similar right hand that he KO'd Benvenuti with.
I'll add my voice to the choir....could see Hearns carrying a decent lead jnto the championship rounds tho
Monzon mauls Hearns with his huge body strength and drowns him late. If Hearns fought a perfect fight behind his jab, it would be difficult of course.
