In many cases, original fighters are among the best. But not always. List fighters you consider to be originals. RJJ Ali Lomachenko M. Spinks Tzsyu Pacquiao List other fighters whose style you think was original.
M. Spinks actually belongs to a subtype called "spaz-fighters." Another example of a spaz-fighter is Zarragoza.
What in the fuck is a "spaz-fighter?" Spinks usually had guys spazzing once he landed that right hand. Of course that troll Mustard disrespects him. He's a casual and probably never even watched the 175 Spinks.
Hard to think of a more dominant light heavyweight than Spinks. And besides being a murderous punxher, his defense was really good too.
I wouldn't pick any light heavyweight since Spinks over him. Roy would have by far the best chance, but ultimately I'd take Spinks.
Because back in the day, 175 was the ´Division of The Dead´ until 168 took over and then 190 owned that title. Foster and Jones Jr would wreck Spinks...
Come again? Did you just suggest Spinks was in a weak light heavyweight era? LMAO! You literally know zero about boxing. It's embarrassing.
As I said, Arbachakov peaked at flyweight around the time Tszyu had just turned pro, and Arbachakov had a similar style to Tszyu.
And that style was a very traditional Russian amateur style with a pawing left jab and upright stance
True. I'm not saying they had identical styles either - Tszyu was a bit more come forward, seek-n-destroy than Arbachakov, while Yuri was more fluid with his footwork - especially his lateral footwork. Tszyu was a puncher-boxer, while Arbachakov was more of a boxer-puncher. Arbachakov is on the looonnggggggggg list of fighters who should be in the HOF, but aren't.
Quartey's style wasnt entirely original. He had elements of Dick Tiger and Azumah Nelson in his style.
I would argue that Vitali had a lot of Monzon in his style. And Corrales, though superb, was a poor man's Arguello. Although, Chico did have faster hands than Arguello.
though he wasn't a great fighter by any means, Mike the bounty hunter had one of the most unique style ever
Have you been following amateurs? Before the 1990s there were very few Russian pros and the next generation has adopted a new style
Silence! This is the point: romantics putting on the rose-tinted specs and looking back in history all dewy-eyed. He beat one really 'great' fighter at 175: Qawi Context is everything when reviewing Spinks record as 175 champ, so it's not his fault. However, the bigging-up of Spinks is often because he´s the guy who everyone thinks was Tyson´s definitive victory.
