Ahhhh yes, the gold old days when ´Dirty Leeds´ ruled the roost:

´The days when that team walked out onto the pitch and saluted the crowd like a group of soldiers, it was bordering on being a little scary and I liked it´

All it took was a classic 3-2 loss against the Rams, Hunter being dropped by tubby Lee, a beating by ´Der Kaiser´ and ´Der Bomber´ in Euro ´75 and the fragilities of that team and their cunt-fans were totally exposed...

    For a so-called ´sleeping giant´, bar one pre-Premier League title, done fuck-all since.

Home & away too, iirc. And as before a Scot opened the scoring for Leeds in Glasgow. Rangers two goals in Leeds were absolute belters

Forest fans are a strange bunch:
    • still dining out on their European Cup days
    • still get annoyed when people refer to them as 'Notts' Forest
    • still think they belong at the top, also

    'Only' 67,000 for that game.

Pretty decent Celtic outfit that...young McStay, Burns, an old Danny McGrain, Bonner, McLeod... albeit a greatly reduced force from ten years or so prior. I think we'd lost prime Charlie Nicholas to Arsenal a few months prior too

There is NO. SUCH. THING as "Notts Forest".

No high drama. Brendan fucked it in the end. Oh how he fucked it.

Apparently from the time Leicester beat Southampton 9-0............Southampton have taken 2 MORE points than Leicester.

16 clear of United pre Covid. Shambles.

    @DeludedBrendan

Anyone who's anyone knows the Europa League is superior to Champions League. Why would we want to travel to Spain to play the likes of Barcelona and Madrid when we can travel to far more exotic places like Bulgaria to play Ludogorets.

I agree but must also say his role in Liverpool winning the title must not be understated. He signed Coutinho, Firminho amongst others and those signings have proven critical in one way or another.

Can't help but feel the lockdown really fucked Leicester more than anyone else. They surf on emotion and there was no way- no way- they'd lose to United at home like that with a full crowd.

Brentford shoving it into Swansea right now. I still don't fancy a Fulham vs Brentford final. But, typically, in the year when the feckless Chinese ruined everyones fun, it would be typical that such a spectacle would occur at an empty Wembley Stadium.

    Zaha for 40 million , Sancho for 100+ ??
I was reading the other day that LFC have saved 300k in wages with the recent departures - granted we have the social distance issue. However, all that hard work will be for nothing if they allow Chelsea/Utd etc the time and players to catch up.

When Chelsea were at it, not only did they sign the best players, they also bought the tier 2 guys - they did everything they could to keep other clubs at bay.

Bielsa has worked wonders at Leeds - Curious to see how they perform in the EPL.

Sancho and Zaha should sign for United. They will be able to bully Oli and it won't be their fault etc etc. Be like Gremlins.........Pogba can be the leader and Oli can be Gizmo, all tormented and screeching "bright lights bright lights" everytime he's dragged off out to face the cameras after a defeat.

I know very little about Sancho , have you any suggestions ?
Zaha for 40 million providing cover for the front 3 makes a lot of sense to me
