Who wins in this battle of high rpm head movers? Hodkinson certainly had more power. But Ingle's punches were shorter and quicker.
I actually proposed this MM on another forum one time, and I don't think it got much attention. I think I'd go with Ingle. He was more proven, and had better wins (Medina, Jones). He managed to go 11 tough rounds before being sparked out by a prime Naz, which is longer than I reckon Hodkinson would go with Naz. Hoko was a good puncher with an aggressive style - he was essentially a homeless man's Barry McGuigan. But not the most durable guy.
Agree. Ingle was definitely the better texhnician too. My thought was the wildcard is Hodkinson's power. But to your point, if Ingle can survive Hamed 11 rounds, he would likely deal with Hodkinson's power. With both guys, I'm just struck by their herky jerky high rpm movement
Goyo Vargas really dismantled Hodkinson and that was basically it for him. A pretty good fight, and surgical-like performance by Vargas.
