Stevenson catches him eventually. Hill defense wasn't that great, and he was a powder puff puncher. Stevenson is too dynamic to get beat by only a jab and a good pair of legs
Del Vall was landing a ton of left hands counters against Hill. He's not surviving against Stevenson if he gets hit that often
Am i??? Hill wasnt a great fighter. He lost (f the scorecards) to Del vall and a geriatric Hearns. We're not talking about michael spinks or bob foster here
You don't need to be Foster or Spinks to beat Chickenson. Who did the guy really beat? A used up Dawson who was ruined by Ward doesn't count. Chickenson had little outside of his big left hand. Using Hill of the late 90s is a bad example as he was past it by then. Use him in his prime, which was the late 80s. He had enough quickness and legs back then to keep Chickenson off balance all night. And Hearns had far more skill and ring IQ than Chickenson. The guy was a complete fucking dope with a big left hand. No IQ, no defense, no versatility, just a big left hand. That one weapon alone isn't enough to beat a quality technician like Hill.
