That would be fresh and original. I've always wondered why they don't do that, go somewhere you can make an impact beyond just football.........imagine if he joined Leicester. Deluded Brendan would be come Guilded Brendan.

As for Suarez he's overpaid, he has unfinished business at Anfield.

There's loads of people he never bit.

Maguires conviction quashed. Same press that were so fast to condemn him will now start talking mad shit about "Bad Police".

Harry Maguire. Literally the most boring chap on Earth. Shaken down by bent cops on some island and the press lap it up. SMFH.

Dire stuff. Played no strikers, proceeded to play exactly like a side..... with no strikers. Ferencvaros are a quarter way decent, they got results in moskow and at espanyol last year but last night was absolute self sabotage

In these uncertain times it sounds like they should rebuild. Do you have any VVD caliber players that you can sell off to Borussia Dortmund? (for heavily discounted COVID prices naturally)

    We're all in this together.

Eduord is really pretty handy, almost certainly handy enough for Dortmund. There were reports on Tuesday that we'd had a bid accepted for a trapbonspor striker to which my instant reaction was 'ok, scrooge mclawell has quietly sold eduoard to add to his gold pile'. Last night we announce a team without him in squad due to a mysterious 'thigh strain'. Fwiw i hope he goes to dortmund and does well

It would be funny if a club made some lowball offer on a quality player knowing it won't be accepted but as a means of testing the waters.

Then not only is the offer accepted, but the selling club is extremely enthusiastic and wants the deal done immediately and agrees to all the usual terms like a physical and so on.

Buying club: Wait a minute ...

Messi was going to sign with Newcastle. During a very long meeting with Mike Ashley he asked if it was possible for somebody to grab him a glass of water. Ashley said he wasn't responsible for other people's hydration and therefore wasn't interesting in signing somebody with such a sense of entitlement.

It never rains in Newcastle. Messi should have been more understanding.

I read/post on a uk urbanism forum so Ive seen 100 of these type of studies and they each come out differently depending how the weight the criteria- basically, bollocks. Its parks are amongst the nicest ive seen - anywhere - and you can literally see hills rearing up from the main square. Moreover i think copenhahens the only place ive ever been thats as consistently lined with street trees. Its public realm is outstanding, generally - probably the best in uk outwith London. Gdp per head is pretty decent compared to other uk cities. Its unis rank fine. Again, basically just bollocks.

Sky Sports News today related his failure to report for Covid Testing- therefore denying him the chance to train- with all of the gravitas of the reportage of the Cuban Missile Crisis.

    SMFH.

While Barcelona have been one of the best clubs ever i'm enjoying their current troubles. Some karma for their arrogance and how they've conducted business in recent years.

I think it started unraveling when Neymar was sold to PSG. It came as am absolute shock and they tried everything to block the transfer. I even read one report where they were trying to claim the buyout clause was only valid for other clubs in Spain. In other words all the clubs smaller than them who would never be able to come up with the funds. Then they tried to make an appeal to the the public and the powers that be about blood money and FFP. What if PSG and their blood money wanted to buy one of their more easily replaceable players for 150 million. Does anybody believe they would turn down the offer on moral grounds? Of course not but long story short they had no legal grounds to reject the offer and the deal was done.

Now that Messi wants to leave they're trying everything they can to block it as well. When it comes to their players it's "honor your commitments, honor your contract". When they were pursuing Coutinho and Dembele they had the opposite attitude and encouraged their targets to do what they could to force an exit. What goes around comes around. While it would be shit if Messi went to PSG or Man City and not be a gain for world football, i don't feel any sympathy for Barcelona and hope Messi is able to leave for free.

And the funny thing is, they already had notice. Liverpool did them 4-0 last season and that should have been the warning to strengthen. Instead it went from bad to worse and the 8-2 bashing sealed the deal. I have no sympathy for any of them but he if signs for City maybe it would be nice if somebody like Traore kicked him in the calf and retired him........if Liverpool win the title next season with Messi in the City squad it would be fucking epic. Even better than last year.
