Based mostly on hunch of course since Moorer was totally untested at 175. Who you got?

Also, does it change at heavyweight?

Spinks has to be favourite at either weight, I think

Spinks at either weight, and at 175 it'd be one sided.

Spinks.........his greatest moment was when he was ringside for the Klitschko-Johnson fight at MSG, and he literally ate every punch V hit Fatty with. :Jest: :Jest:

Fuck Spinks. Moorer is a cooler guy.

Michael Spinks is a good dude.

Both Spinks brothers are good men.

Not sure what your beef with him is.

Michael Moorer seems like a manic depressive.

Spinks, who did not know Kirk Johnson from shit, was roaring him on from ringside vs Vitali :Jest:

    I wonder why :Jest: :Jest:

And anybody who comes out after a PITIFUL showing vs Mike Tyson, collects $15m in 1988 [$33.4m today] and pisses and moans about how he's just a "N word in a White Mans World"........can fuck right off.

Never really liked him on that account. Never said he was a "Bad guy"......just a fucking BLM bullshitter ahead of his time.

As it happens Spinks probably wins both times.

I’m not overly convinced about Moorer at 175. Glossy record and a big puncher, but against limited opposition.

I have a tough time picking him against the other top LHWs of the early 80s, let alone Spinks.

Manny Steward called him one of the best LHW'S. IT'S on HBO "tale of Moore-Foreman"
Manny was maybe biased as he trained him. That said Moorer was dangerous at the weight, more dangerous than infamous "blowed up middleweight" Byrd.

Out of the 80s bunch (besides Spinks), I would take Qawi, Saad, and Eddie MM to beat Moorer.

Then if you go to the mid-70s, I'd take Galindez and Conteh over him.

That's brave. Conteh was a good fighter. But if that's the case, why not say Johnny Frankham or Chris Finnegan could have done it too :Jest:

They were good fighters, Finnegan gave 2 really good tests to Conteh after his loss to Foster.

That was Conteh at his best/freshest.

Conteh was a much better technician than Moorer, and Moorer struggled with far lesser guys.

It's no sure thing though, as Conteh didn't have a granite chin. Moorer could wack him out... but he'd be getting boxed senseless up until the point he stops him.

Saad's not beating Moorer. And neither is Eddie. Imo.

Name one impressive Moorer performance at 175. I'll wait.

He struggled and went 8 rounds with the same Leslie Stewart who Virgil Hill had already destroyed in 4. He also badly struggled with Frankie Swindell before eventually stopping him.

One of the most overrated fighters ever.

Both Saad and Eddie beat better fighters, and looked more impressive doing so.

Yeah but you can't discount the success he had at hw when evaluating him at lhw. Unless you think that the skills he displayed at hw were all acquired after he left the lhw division

Spinks is the OBVIOUS Pick, But he was a Notoriously SLOW Starter and Moorer was ULTRA Aggressive in his Non-Heavyweight Days...

Very Interesting EARLY, But Spinks Weathers Any Storms 8 Out of 10 Times...

Moorer was given Hell by Leslie Stewart at 175 bruh. He wasn't the Tyson-like killer at 175 that people sometimes paint him as.

Spinks wipes his ass with Moorer at 175 - 10/10 times.

Boxing Isn't THAT Absolute Though X...

Evander Holyfield STRUGGLED w/Bobby Fucking Czyz of All People, Then DOMINATED Mike Tyson...Doesn't Mean Czyz Would've Had a PRAYER Against that SAME Version of Mike Though, Does It???...

    Of Course Not...

REED Picks Spinks But Moorer was a LOT More Aggressive and CONFIDENT @ Lower Weights, That's a Fact...He Presented Challenges Spinks Didn't Have to Deal w/All That Much @ '75...Again, Spinks BEATS him, but Not 10 Out of 10...
