Of the three big lightweight prospects - Haney, Lopez, and Garcia, Haney is fighting the weakest comp. He's fighting the ghost of Gamboa next, while Lopez fights Loma, and R.Garcia fights Luke Campbell. Campbell, at this point, is better than Gamboa.

Haney is giving me cherry picker vibes.

Modern boxer with big-mouth in ´cherry-picker´ shock!!

Guys are gonna be more willing to fight garcia than haney at this point

I mean, Campbell wasn't scared to fight the P4p #1 guy. I dunno why he'd be scared of an untested prospect.

its not about fear, its about compensation. risk vs reward. haney is getting some hype but hes not nearly as popular as garcia, lopez, lomachenko, etc

That's what he gets for signing with Fast Eddie.

he took the money. he got seven figures to fight that last guy on the youtubers undercard

So then why can't they pay for decent competition? They can. Last I heard, Haney was entertaining a fight with Gary Russell.

I just hope Naverette finds a good dance partner at 126. The guy is awesome.

Did he look good tonite ?

Gary Russell Jr was barking. He didn't want that fight bs haney whos a foot taller

Last time I heard from that bitch ass Russell Jr. was when Bud exposed him on social media.

Russell is a bitter cat. He's made zero name or legacy for himself in boxing and wasted all his talent.

Santa Cruz did duck him though...

He fought Tugstsogt Nyambayar in February. What more could anybody ask for?

Yes. He dominated. Knocked Villa down twice and basically won every round.

I'm not nearly as high on Navarette as Double is.

    Shakur will outclass him.

Shakur is at 130. Navarette just moved to 126. So wtf?

  15. Xplosive

I must be out of touch then. I didnt know Shakur had already moved up to 130.

    Who does 126 have then?

Navarette would beat that Josh Warrington I saw.

Yeah. It's pretty barren. Warrington and Russell basically. Would love to see Navarette vs. Russell but no way it would happen.

    Hope Shakur faces Berchelt.

Warrington is painfully ordinary. I'd bet the house on Navarette to beat him.

Not sure how I see Navarette vs Russell, but I sure as Hell would root for Navarette.

In Fairness, Haney's the YOUNGEST of the Name Lightweights Also...Sometimes Fighters are DEVELOPING, Not DUCKING, ala, Andre Ward...

Ward's Pre-Super 6 Resume Left a LOT to Be Desired, But it Proved to Be the Proper Course When All was Said and Done...Not Saying That WILL Be the Case w/Haney, But He's Still VERY MUCH in Need of Physical Maturation, in REED's Opinion...

Even Ryan Garcia, Who's Only Like 2-3 Months Older than Haney, Has a GROWN MAN Body and Strength Already, Comparatively Speaking...

Haney is as "All Grown Up Now" as Canelo Was After the Floyd Fight, When "People" Said he was ALREADY as Good as he was EVER Going to Get...

haney can definitely get a lot better skill wise, but as far as physical strength i dont see him getting a whole lot stronger until he moves up in weight. he looks strong at 135 in his recent photos and videos.

I hate that Haney is such a goddamn Floyd ripoff. Emulates his style, and even emulates his speech pattern. Like what a dickrider.

I like that Fimo has his own style, and his own personality

Fast Eddie suggested on Twitter that he's ready to put Haney in with Lopez after the Gamboa fight.

I'll believe it when I see it.

After last night, it'd be hard to give Haney much of a chance.

Greatest irony: Haney Tweeted Loma was "Too small, too old."

    And he's fighting Gamboa lol

Fighting Gamboa is gay, I hope Gamboa STRETCHES him. that would be funny

why wouldnt hearn put haney in with lopez? he has nothing to lose. lopez is the one who should have no interest in an unproven nobody like haney at this point.

Here's haney gettin schooled for a round by Stevenson

I've seen that session before. It's a bit deceptive because Shakur was 2 years older than Haney and more experienced.

There's also a sparring session of Tank getting the better of Teofimo, but it's also deceptive because Teo was only 15 at the time, and Davis had way more experience.
