So are they gonna try to bubble next season or are they gonna pull a Jerry Jones and put butts in seats inside?

And all that because there's text on the floor of the court. Text that people don't want to read.

Nothing to do with the bubble, nothing to do with the lack of audience, the dominance of Lakers meant nothing. The text.

From the reporting I’ve heard they’ve all but guaranteed they’re not doing the bubble again. The word is it’s too hard on everyone and from the players, to the coaching staff everyone hated it.

Yep. Fewer people watched the game on TV because.... Lockdown.

Don't fight the suck. Embrace it.

Because of the lockdown, the games just didn't feel the same since there was no audience around. Also, since people couldn't attend the games in their own home cities, they weren't as emotionally invested as usually.

October is a weird time to have NBA finals as well, and yes, that matters too. Also, if there's plenty of other stuff going on (unemployment and such), sports usually interest less.

Over here, sports leagues haven't gotten the same attention as usual, even though we don't have any political riots.

I never said that dude couldn't be onto something. His conclusions were simply laughably straightforward

If There's Been NO Major Strides Regarding the Pandemic, There WILL Be Another Bubble...Rest Assured...

Players and Owners are Not Just Going to FORESAKE Professional Basketball and the Money it Generates Altogether, NOR Will the NBA Be as Reckless as MLB, NFL and the NCAA Has Been in Handling the Pandemic REACTIVELY, Instead of PROACTIVELY...

Whether Everyone "Hates" it or Not, if we're Still in the Midst of a Pandemic There WILL Be Another Bubble...It's Proven to Be the ONLY Responsible Method in the Face of Covid-19...

If Silver insists on putting butts in seats, they should just play in outdoor stadiums instead (because rona). For example if they want 20% capacity, they can do this:

Warriors - Oracle Park, Stanford Stadium, Memorial Stadium, Oakland Coliseum, Levi's Stadium
Lakers/Clippers - Dodger Stadium, LA Memorial Coliseum, Banc of California Stadium, Dignity Health Sports Park or Angel Stadium (no, SoFi Stadium isn't available because it's indoors)
Kings - Hornet Stadium, UC Davis Health Stadium
Suns - State Farm Stadium (with the roof open), or Chase Field

Didn't even know the season had ended. Lost all interest in any sports during the lockdown. Not sure why. You'd think it'd be more popular with people being stuck inside.

This is an interesting point and I noticed the same. Even though most our local leagues are back with restricted access, they don't feel the same

Agreed. I think a lot reasons exist for it and the prime one is that this Virus Crap, the Election, and the reaction to both have put things in perspective, no matter what "side" of the political divide you are on.

I don't make a judgement call on this one, either- no matter WHAT side you are on, and there's more than two.....lots of distrust and fear and loathing out there, all around.

And sports is infected by it, so the old remedy is now itself part of the problem too.

It sucks. Last year a 2-2 draw and Van Dijk injured would have killed me as a LFC fan. This year...just another bruise on the bruise.

Ty Lue to the Clippers, Rivers to Philly and Stan Van to New Orleans. All solid moves that won’t move the needle much with the probable exception of New Orleans.

I don’t get why teams keep recycling these same coaches expecting some different outcome. I think new/young coaches should be the ones these teams are hiring after you see what a brilliant guy like Nick Nurse did for Toronto. That’s why I believe Indiana’s coaching hire has the most potential to actually move the needle for their team. Not necessarily in wins and loses but in a change in philosophy, style and team chemistry.

Darryl Morey gets position as President of the Sixers: Guess they’re going to try to slid Elton Brand out of his GM position without the backlash of racism being the reason, or that’ll be the reason they keep him.

Dallas assistant coach Stephen Silas gets head coach gig for the Rockets. That’s more exciting than a recycled coach, at the same time I wonder how much Russ and Harden will respect and follow him.

Utah Jazz sell for $1.66B: Can’t believe someone would buy right now. Things may never go back to the way they were, financially and many other ways. I think that purchase was kind of a bad move, especially at that price.

What a shitshow Houston has become. Head coach, dipped. General manager, dipped. Both said they wanted to take time off for family time, both got other jobs within weeks. Tillman Fertitta is a meddling cheap ass bitch of an owner. Now Russ wants out and I hear Harden isn't happy, but is willing to stay another year, if Tillman doesn't trade him for peanuts first. In 2018, Houston was a Chris Paul hamstring away from beating the all-star team Golden State. Less Alexander sold team to Tillman that off-season and shit is gone downhill since.

Lol for Russ to go to either The Clips or Cavs. They are the favourites NOW. Of course without a real GM, shit can change by the minute.

nobody will trade for westbrook unless houston is willing to take back 2 or 3 equally as bad contracts that add up to his.

Yep Russ wants out. I think Morey didn’t want to do the Westbrook trade and probably got vetoed by Fertitta which caused Morey to bounce. This is exactly why you absolutely can not mortgage your future at the whim of your franchise star because Houston did that and now Russ and allegedly Harden want out anyway.

How long til Kawhi or George want out next? I know Paul George better be working his ass off right now because his stock and reputation are in the toilet now and he’s got a lot to do to win back people’s faith in him.

James Wiseman's Been GS' Projected Pick in Most Mock Drafts, but if Klay Thompson REALLY Tore his Achilles GS Needs to Go Ahead and Take "Melo Ball @ # 2...

Steph Can Be an Effective, Undersized 2-Guard on Offense and 'Melo Can Run Point Primarily, Driving/Kicking Out to Steph for 3's as he Did to Klay...

If Klay only has a high ankle sprain, does Wiseman still get traded
