I'll stick to exactly what I said pre-fight.. Loma can't be exposed because he's not a fraud. Hes a HOF fighter.

    But incredibly overrated.

Haha wow. You're overrating Crawford opposition big time. Walters destruction of DOnnaire is much better than whatever Postol did in his sorry career

It looks better now than it did in 2014 considering a shot, one legged Gamboa gave Davis a tough fight.

You must not notice that im very critical of Crawford.

But quality wise, I think hes a higher caliber fighter than Loma.

Yes. Or it could end up like a Chocolatito-Rungs situation where he's khtfko in a rematch

    Exactly.
Loma gave up too many rounds early.
    Lopez is the real deal

Could and would are two different things.

    Could he? Yeah, its possible.

Would he? I dont think so. His aura of self confidence looked destroyed after the fight, and Lopez is now a better fighter following the win.

Plus, the fight ENDED with Loma getting his ass kicked, not vice versa.

I'd favor Lopez big in the rematch, but not worth discussing cause there won't be one.

Can't shake out how incredibly dissapointing Loma was tonight. Plodding and no dynamism. At the beggining of his career I was a loma sceptic, but I turned into a big believer afterwards. Seems like my first impression was the right one.

I had the fight a draw, but if someone deserved to win it, it was definitively Lopez.

    Absolutely.
He will have to take a lot more risks,..but pressure is his only chance.
Lopez is too long, rangy and fast for Loma to stay on the outside.
But,..pressure against Fimo could easily get you stretched

You know what REALLY surprised me about tonight?

I thought Bradley would be sucking Loma's dick, and Ward would be calling it straight. It was the total opposite.

Ward was a shameless Loma groupie, and Bradley was calling it exactly how it was.

    Very surprising.

Brother Neil was right and ill gladly eat Crow to him.

Taylor-Lopez now becomes a huge matchup after Taylor beats Ramirez.

I guess it all depends on what Josh will want to do. Defend his undisputed junior welterweight crown against Fimo, or move up to challenge Bud.

Taylor-Lopez is definitely more compelling and debatable after tonight.

I see Crawford as too much for Taylor.

    My thoughts on the fights:

Barboza-v-Saucedo - Don’t understand how some of you thought this fight was close or even wrongly judged. Barboza pretty much boxed Sauce’s ears off and about the only thing he did better than Barboza in that fight was take punishment. Barboza threw and landed more punches and he more often than not landed the better quality shots in most exchanges.

Lopez-v-Loma - Like everyone else I could see Loma giving away the fight early by being way too defensive. Around the 6th rd he picked up the pace and started winning rds. I assume he realized he was down on the cards as opposed to waiting til Lopez slowed down to finally say fuck it and get more aggressive. Too bad he didn’t start the fight like that or he probably would have won. Like someone here said, Loma clearly showed he was the better more skilled fighter overall but at the same time I thought Lopez dominated the 12th rd even as Loma desperately needed and tried to win it.

Been a while since I watched a full boxing match much less two. I thoroughly enjoyed them both.

He won clearly by 2 rounds.

    Let's just be clear.

    Lopez won.

But according to two judges even if Loma won the first three rounds....he still cant win.

That means they were giving lopez rounds which he was clearly losing.

The reason loma left the ring in disgust isn't because he lost ....its because he knew that even if he'd won...he'd have lost.

And we should know it too.

I'm not complaining too much about the decision.

Most the rounds Loma won were close. I can recall maybe 1 round that was Loma clear as day.

All the rounds Fimo won were clear, and many were one sided.

I have NO CLUE how someone could even score it a draw. You have to be giving Loma EVERY benefit to score it a draw.

Fimo beat his ass and won by a clear margin.

Not the first time we've seen it. Won't be the last. But better than the alternative, because I thought Fimo was gonna get robbed.

He won't. Lopez's confidence is now through the roof and he'll become better.

The fact that Loma didn't call for a rematch lets you know everything you need to know. His confidence is now affected.

Don't forget, the 12th round ended with Loma hurt and getting his ass kicked. That was the thing Loma had on his mind about the fight

I have zero interest in the rematch, BTW.

All my interest is now in Lopez-Taylor.
