They should have taken the chance.

GRANTED, Tank is nowhere near as good as Fimo, but Loma isn't invisible.

It was worth taking the chance, but Mayweather Promotions and Tank were too pussy.

    Have fun with Leo Slowacruz.

Tank's a Good Bit SMALLER than Teofimo and Waaaaaay LESS Disciplined, Bruh...

In REED's Opinion, Loma Could've Toweled Off and BEATEN Tank, 30 Minutes After Losing to Teofimo...Floyd KNOWS it Too, Which is Why the Fight Never Happened...

    Yeeeaaaah, you're right.

Here I am accusing Floyd of being dumb, but he's not.

He just knows Tank isn't that good.

Anybody who thinks Floyd is ever going to deliberately attract a boxer he feels might even begin to match his own accomplishments needs their head examined.

If Tank had beaten Lomachenko, it would hurt Floyd deep-down more than Lomachenko.

And Floyd in any event may well now look at it thinking that there's no fucking way anybody can get a decision against Lopez-Arum

I dont think Floyd would be worried about a decision if Tank fought Lopez.

    Tank won't see 12.

He hates Arum anyways. He'd say Arum was deliberately hiring better boxers and paying them slave wages to make them HONGRY and beat up his fighters.

Ever seen Floyds Gym have sparring-sessions? The most retarded shit since Anne Wolfe was "training" Kirkland.

Speaking of sparring, there's footage of Lopez and Tank sparring. Lopez controlled him in the beginning, then Tank had success - but Lopez was a baby when they sparred, while Tank is still the same as he is now.

Lopez would really wipe his ass with Davis.

I disagree with this. First of all why would Floyd be worried that Tank beating one great fighter is somehow a threat to his legacy? Tank has tons of time and fights to make up to get anywhere near Floyd’s accomplishments and to be honest he’s already behind the eight ball in that regard.

No, I think it’s just what Reed said, Floyd might feel like an idiot, he may literally even be an idiot, but he’s not idiot enough to think Tank stood any chance against Loma.

Floyds a child, deep down. Envy is strong with kids. Believe me, I feel Floyd would consciously hold back another fighter unless the financial concerns were too big for even Floyd to ignore.

Floyds gym is run like some sort of an errant social club for kids in a deprived 'hood. I just can't see any ADULT decisions being made.

I think BOTH Irish and REED are equally correct.

Floyd doesn't wanna see Tank threaten his success, and he never had faith in him beating Loma. Both are accurate.

Lib has made the point that Tank is no threat to Floyd and "might already be a bit behind the 8 ball"- that's precisely my point.....if he's behind the 8 ball, how did he get there?

Floyd is emotionally like Frank Warren is financially........Warren protected his investments {Hatton/Calzaghe}. Floyd protects his emotions.

Another thing is the "Unbeaten Tag". Floyd has a major hang up with that shit. I agree that may need to be taken into account....Floyd doesn't want to "Lose" and he doesn't want his man to "Win"......and so......nothing really happens.

I still disagree, although not on your points about Floyd’s mentality. I just think Floyd would find Tank winning a big fight as just more positive ammo for Floyd’s ego. After all isn’t Tank Floyd’s guy, fighting under Floyd’s umbrella, whom Floyd took under his wing? That just shows what a great promoter and mentor that Floyd is and doesn’t sound like something to be threatened about as much as it’s more a feather in his cap. Floyd definitely has the mental midgeivity to be threatened by the success of one of his fighters but Tank is so far away from Floyd that I can’t believe that was the reasoning behind them avoiding that fight. Floyd was just rightfully protecting his guy.

That's the logical obvious conclusion. It makes sense to you, to me, to X to everyone BAR Flizzoid. He just strikes me as the sort of guy who would take it real bad if somebody did well and floyds shine got stole. You'd find that Floyd would not be long accusing the guy of something like disloyalty or "that win went to his head" etc. I honestly believe if any of Floyds fighters wins a title that fighter will fall out with Floyd sooner or later.

Its pretty well known that Tank and Floyd already dont like eachother.

Just like Kingry and Oscar don't like eachother.

Fighters not liking Floyd and Oscar? A shocker!

What's not to like about those two!

BTW - while he doesn't have a good chance it all, it would be absolutely hilarious if Santa Cruz upsets Davis.

    It's embarrassing. It really is.

Tank's level of opposition since beating Pedrazza has been putrid.

What's worse is, after he beats Santa Cruz, it'll just be another no-hoper, or has been.

I won't hold my breath for him ever facing a Lopez, or Haney. He'd get his ass handed to him by both.

His best chance is with Ryan, but even the clock on that is running out.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Garcia beat Tank.

    Just a VERY disappointing career.

Yeah agreed, I mean, LSC is 1-1 with Frampton who basically is just a very very good European level fighter, no way he picks up a title in two divisions in the old 1 belt era.

Frampton is just good by World standards, and LSC is 0.5 with him.

And Frampton is no 135lb guy, not even close, he's a 130 dude, TOPS.

I've never rooted for SC before, but now seems like a good time.

It'd be hilarious if he beat Davis.

I think he's a plodder to be honest. He's like a featherweight Margarito just not as good lol

He's a good honest plodder who might walk through a bit of fire, good luck to him but I can't see it.

Don't like Tank, think he's a violent mug with a Napoleon complex, so yeah it would be funny if LSC just Bronered him with pure heart and work rate.

Yeah, SC as a poor man's Margarito is an apt comparison. He doesn't have Marg's chin, that's the problem.

If Davis doesn't blast SC inside of 6 he should be ashamed of himself, because Teofimo would blast SC inside of 2.

No. Flirted with a comeback, but it never happened.

Between Broner and both Floyd fights I think he's financially secure for life.

Khan isn't officially retired, but I think he's done.

There aren't really any big fights for him anymore, and he knows in his heart he'd get battered by the young guys.

I'll be damned! I didn't know until today that Davis vs Santa Cruz was taking place at 130 for the WBA belt.

I thought Davis was staying at 135 and SC was moving up to lightweight.

This makes the matchup more intriguing and I'm less critical of it now.
