Not anymore, apparently Bogdanovic pulled out of the deal to instead enter free agency which scuttled the three team trade.

Sucks. It's tough to rehab for 2 straight years. He'll likely never be able to move the same defensively or run off picks as well

His Perimeter Defense will for SURE Be Forever Impacted...2-Way Klay Will Cease to Exist, Unfortunately...

Running Off Screens Will Take WORK, But it's Much Easier Running/Cutting in Designed Scenarios Than GUESSING Where the Man You're Guarding is Going...

Klay Will Be Able to SHOOT Until he's 90, However...

Then that sucks for Milwaukee because they’re getting bent over a sack of rice in this deal.

They got one of the top 20 players in the league AND dumped Bledsoe. Great deal

Who cares if they gave up some late first rounders

Holiday is closer to a top thirty player, made an all star team once way back in 2013, he’s more of a third banana on a championship team and they gave up assets like he’s a number two. Holiday also has an opt-out after this season which he’s likely to exercise so it could possibly be a one year rental and he’s injury prone and just turned 30. Two first round picks and two first round pick swaps seems like a lot to give up for that.

New Orleans gets Steven Adams. How the hell many draft picks is OKC going to acquire?

The veto is exactly what happened. Morey didn't want Westbrook, Tillman did and pulled rank. I think Morey made his decision to leave right then and there. Also, yes Harden wanted WB, put wanted CP3 to also be there.

So far K. Love, B. Griffin and other crap has been offered for WB who isn't happy because he wants to "be the man" on his own team.

Well I just went from a Rockets fan to a Wizards fan and at first I was disappointed Russ didn’t stay in Houston. I was interested in seeing him and Harden (who I always doubted was getting moved) paired with Christian Wood and to see how the new coach would use them all.

On the other hand this DC move is cool because the missus doesn’t usually watch the NBA but every now and then she would ask me to download Wizards games because she wanted to watch the Japanese player Rui Hachimura play. Seeing as how I’m now a Wizards fan it looks like we’ll both be watching them play together a lot more often.

A protected 1st rounder and a player that hasn't played in 2 years. That's what Westbrook is worth. The NBA know what he's all about.

He played very well for the Rockets for about a month and a half, hardly ever shot 3's and played the most efficient ball of his career. He didn't like it and went into to the bubble and slowly started resorting to his old ways. His +/- was the worst of any player in the Rockets/Laker's series. He'll be averaging a triple double again this upcoming year, that is apparently the most important thing to him.

I'm curious to see what they have left. Wall's injury was a partial tear of his Achilles, not a full rupture like Klay and Durant and I believe it was on his non dominant leg. He was out so long because a pretty bad infection. Cousins on the other hand, I'd be happy with a 70% Cousins. That's all we need.

Still a Russ fanboy huh? C'mon Reed, you see what Russ value is. There's a reason for it.

    1. I've heard the same.
    2. I've explained why Russ wanted out of Houston.
    3. Scott Brooks is the only one that wanted him lol
    4. Do you know why the Rockets went small??? To un-congest the lane for RUSS. Do maybe he'd listen and continue the non chucking of 3's at a 25% rate.
    5. Why is plus minus not a factor when Russ was dead last for players including BOTH TEAMS.

So the Rockets went small to appease WB, to hopefully get him to continue to play the most efficient ball he's played ever, unfortunately Russ wanted to Russ, so yeah it's kinda his fault.

wall is a better player than westbrook if healthy. much smarter, better passer, better defender. the trade was pretty predictable since it was about the only place for either player to go based on the inflated contracts, westbrooks proven track record of first round exits, and walls health.

i feel bad for beal who is probably the best shooting guard in the east. hopefully he gets dealt to the nets. Id have more faith in a healthy year from wall than cousins. IF wall is healthy then maybe houston slides into the playoffs. they seem like the most likely team to drop out of the west bracket

Yeah Beal needs to bail, he's wasting away on that team.

Rockets for sure will make the playoffs, they haven't missed since Hardens been here and he's been on worst teams than this one. It's is getting even tougher in the West, Dallas and Phoenix are going to take big steps forward.

I’d drop a grain of salt on those “Wall is looking great in warmups” reports. We were told similar reports about Russ before he came back from his hamstring injury. Also when do these guys ever report a guy isn’t looking good? Particularly if they’re looking to move him as in the case of Wall.

I heard reports that the video of Wall out at a club throwing up gang signs really rubbed Wizards ownership the wrong way and it was a big reason for him getting moved. There were also reports that Beal felt Wall wasn’t attacking his rehab as hard as he should be. Who knows what’s real there but it’s all very interesting.

Oh yeah I’m sure Wall is a better player than Russ...on paper. In the real world Russ has one MVP while Wall has none. Russ is a 9 time allstar and Wall is a five time allstar. Russ has 9 all-nba selections and 2 first team all-nba selections while Wall has only 2 all-nba selections and zero first team all-nba selections.

Russ has had a better career than Wall while playing his entire career in the much harder Western conference. Russ won his MVP and took an abysmal OKC team to the playoffs without another Allstar on his team which is something Lebron didn’t even do his first year on the Lakers.

Wall is like Paul George whereas he acts and carries himself like an all time great player but doesn’t have the resume, accolades or history to back it up. Wall is also routinely injured and unreliable while Russ has been a virtual ironman most of his career and has lost only minimal athleticism despite multiple minor knee surgeries. The energy he plays with and the confidence he gives his teammates isn’t something that can be quantified.

I checked their stats side by side and the only category Wall was consistently better than Russ was predictably 3 point field goal percentage, assists, blocks and steals by a hair. Unpredictably Russ is actually a better free throw shooter than Wall.

Call REED What You Wish, but he Certainly Doesn't CREDIT Russ for a Bright Sunny Day, NOR Does he BLAME Russ for a Shitty Day the Way YOU Obviously Do:Jest:...

You and Neil NEED & RELY On Russ in a Way REED Clearly DOESN'T...Y'all Should Spar for the RIGHT to Be Russ' Biggest Fightbeat Hater, Because it's a Neck and Neck Race Btwn You 2...

    1. Since You've Heard the Same, WHY Was it Not Included in Your Assessment of the Trade Itself???...
    2. Your "Explanation" for Why Russ Wanted Out of Houston Amounted To "He's Putting HIMSELF Over W's...He Wants to Be THE MAN"...

In Actuality, All Russ Said was He Wanted the "Ball IN His Hands More" Than it Was This Past Season...That's It...But You're NOTORIOUS for Extrapolating What YOU WANT from Russ' Actions...

& REED Didn't Even Reference the Underlying Donald Trump Angle in All of This, Which Prompted the Trade Demands & Led to Harden DECLINING an Extension Worth $50mil a Year...No Mention of THAT, Huh???...

    3. How Do You KNOW Scott Brooks is the Only One that Wanted Russ???...What is that BASED On, Besides Your Contempt for the Man???...

    4. Here's what REED Knows About Houston & Small Ball; THEY PLAYED THE SAMEfuckingWAY A YEAR PRIOR TO RUSS BEING ON THE TEAM!!!...Like REED Said, Russ is Your Cut and Paste SCAPEGOAT for Anything that Goes Wrong, Even When YOUR Team Plays Some LAME, GIMMICK Ass Offense a Year PRIOR to Russ Ever Joining Them...

How Were They "Accommodating" Russ a Year Ago, When D'Antoni Had Them Playing the SAME Way, Pre-Russ???...Again, HATE...

    5. The Lakers Kicked Houston's Ass That Series...When You LOSE a "Gentleman's Sweep" You've Got Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay More ISSUES Than +/- Bruh...But Again, You Focus On What You WANT to Focus On...

Yep, the Rockets fans can officially go back to hating Russell Westbrook again. The only question is, how will they feel about Harden if he does get his wish and leaves Houston?

REED Just Doesn't Get How EVERYTHING is Russ' Fault???...ALWAYS!!!..:Jest:

Neil Constantly References Russ' 1st Round Playoff Exits, Yet NEVER Says Shit About WHO Carried OKC in the GS Series, When They Choked Away a 3-1 Lead in the Western Conference Finals...Somebody was ABUSING the 1st Unanimous League MVP in NBA History, and it Damn Sure WASN'T Kevin Durant...

Nonetheless, To Neil it was Russ' Fault KD Shat the Bed, Apparently...No Mention of WHO the Starting PG Was When OKC Advanced to the Finals vs. Bron and the Heat Either...

As If Russ Had NATHAN to Do About It...Merely a PASSENGER Alooooong for the Ride...& TexMex is Noooooo Better, Because if FORCED To Choose, He'd Draft Patrick Beverley OVER Russell Westbrook in a Fantasy Hoop League!!!:Jest:

From KD to Steven Adams to Victor Oladipo to Paul George to James Harden, Certain Fans and Media Go OUT Of Their Way to Project Westbrook in a Particular Light...& The Foundation is ALREADY Being Laid, By the Usual Suspects, to Shit On the Russ-Bradley Beal Relationship...

    1. Ok, it's been reported that Wall has looked good. A player who hasn't played in 2 years. With an atrocious contract + a protected 2023 pick. That's what the great Westbrook is worth.

    2. He wants the ball in his hands, what do you think that means??? He didn't say "trade me to a contender" like any 32 yr old "star" would say.

Trump angle? Are you serious? No extension has been offered btw. Along with the Nets bullshit trade. You shouldn't believe everything you read. Harden isn't going nowhere, never wanted to go anywhere, and just opened a restaurant in H-town.

    3. Sure other organizations wanted Russ, Cleveland did, for Kevin freaking Love, oh and they wanted picks from the Rockets as well. Same scenario in Detroit for broken down ass Griffin.

    4. They played small ball the year prior? You mean like in 10 mins a game like the Warriors do? Capela would like to know because he believes he was the starting center? Maybe it was a hologram?

    5. Perhaps more issues. But this is what Russ did in the playoffs...

    He shot 33 3 pointers for a 24.2%
He shot 32 free throws for 53.1%
He had 37 dimes and 30 turnovers.

Pretty damn hard to win games when your second 40 million dollar "star" plays like utter trash like that. ALL ROCKETS OR LAKERS scrubs played better, let that sink in and see if I'm either "hating" or pointing out the very fucking obvious.

He don't want to leave, he recruited Wood personally and just opened a restaurant like yesterday in Houston.

Let's day he does leave, hell net a whole lot more than John Wall and a protected pick lol

Your team might be a sinking ship. Mike D’Antoni, Morey, and Westbrook all bailed. Harden says he wants to bail. Apparently the common denominator here is the new owner who seems to be exerting too much personal control over the team. Execs and players talk, so if Harden gets moved you guys are going to probably have a hard time attracting top tier free agents and execs/coaches without overpaying for them.

As much as you guys hate Westbrook he didn’t bad mouth the team during a Wizards presser when he was asked about it. I wouldn’t necessarily say it was Russ being so much classy as it’s just not his personality to reveal personal information to the press. He’s a pretty guarded guy when it comes to that stuff, unlike say a Paul George or Jimmy Butler who have the kind of loose lips that burn bridges and or create memeable opportunities for the online community.

At any rate if Harden does stay he’s going to probably need another top 3 MVP like season to get you guys in the playoffs unless Wall and Cousins can both come back at some semblance of the their old selves while simultaneously both having healthy seasons. That’s two slight long shots so good luck I hope it works out.
