Hopefully active fighters will see this and learn waiting to make a fight isn't in your best interest.

Why do i think in my mind this is what a 2003 fight would look like, with Jones shoe-shining and shot Tyson walking through the punches and out-muscling him

Because you don’t realize that this was an exhibition during a pandemic meant to raise money

The way that Roy kept a prime hugging-machine Johnny Ruiz away with stinging leads through 12 rounds you gotta think this fight wouldn't have been the same..

Broken streamers you aren’t missing much. This is exactly what it was portrayed, an exhibition with one guy (Roy) not trying to hurt the other guy and the other guy (Mike) unable to hurt the other guy. I timed round seven and in the two minutes that the round consisted of about 55 seconds was spent with both boxers in a clinch which the ref never felt a strong need to break. This appeared to be about the average.

Accept this for what it was, a chance to watch two alltime greats embarrass themselves and look old while simultaneously giving us a sense of unfulfilled nostalgia.

The comments on twitter about Nate getting KO'd are hilarious. Nate and the other guy made $600 each. Someone wrote "Nate got KTFO for half a stimulus check."

They did a pretty good job acting out a real fight. It felt like they were filming rocky in there.

Mike won, interesting thing to me is how fast Mike still is. Makes you think about what Roy really could have done if he fought a good Mike. Probably got KO'd. Also, technically Mike is a much better boxer.

    Probably get KO'd?

Any version of Tyson up to 2000 would KO Jones very quickly. I dont think thats a big secret, and its nothing for Roy to be ashamed of.

Hes still the P4P better and greater of the two.

One more note/question- Who has footwork and head movement like that anymore? Wasn’t sure I wanted to pay for this, but makes me think about the speed, movement and power of that 19 yo Tyson. Shame he ruined his best years.

Tyson didn't ruin his best years. His style was always always meant to flame out in his 20s.

He had an almost 4-year peak - we did see the best of him.

Only in the fact that that there was a couple knock downs and a KO. Other than that the clinches were occurring even more often than Tyson-Roy, damn near after every punch thrown mostly because Nate Robinson had no idea what he was doing.

How the hell did Nate get himself in that position?

Bullshit. Tyson lost his edge and his hunger. He stopped training at the level he should have and got complacent and lazy. He could have reigned for years at a super high level if he had had the dedication of say a Lebron James or even a Floyd Mayweather. Tyson’s skills eroding at the time and the way it did was completely his own fault.

Mike might have reigned for longer with a better dedication but I agree with Xplosive that we saw him being as good as he was ever going to be. We did see his best years, maybe just not all of them

Depends on style. A guy who relied heavily on speed and reflexes probably peaks sooner

Logan Paul or Jake Paul or whoever is the pits of society. He's using his "fame" to be something he's not and make more money than the real thing makes. Fake. Phony. Hand picked. Disgusting.

Am I the only one who thinks Mike held back?

Its not just that he was too old to do damage, he seemed to make a conscious effort to not wanna hit Roy with any big head shots - mainly focused on the body.

I expected just that - that he wouldn't try to seriously hurt Roy.
