Its 1967 and instead of fighting Emile Griffith he fights Tito Trinidad who has just knocked out William Joppy.

    Who wins?

Benvenuti has the right kind of legs and jab to give Trinidad fits... I think he decisions him

Nino also had some sneaky power and was damn annoying at tying up. I think I think Nino builds an early lead even knocking Tito down with a flash knockdown but Tito rallies late and drops Nino hard. Nino gets up and survives to win a close but non controversial decision.

I thought more people would comment on this fight ...oh well

The key for Nino would be to get off first and keep Tito on the defensive. He wasn't necessarily a slick defensive master or a "runner" - he was an aggressive boxer that relied on his feints, unpredictability, and deceptive power to shut down opponents, which means he would likely be within range for Tito to land on him for much of the fight.

Tito might hit home a few times and score a KD or two, but I think Nino's semi-awkward, unpredictable boxing style keeps Tito guessing and nabs him a decision.
