I can't help but shake the image of Chacon's movement really hampering Lopez's style. I think Ultiminio would do similar, but was a much better fighter with a much better punch. He'd stop Little Red IMO, although not without a great fight first.
As usual... I was thinking the same. Ramos could duplicate what Chacon accomplished, as he was a level above Chacon.
Not sure I agree that Ramos was a level above a young Chacon, but I do take the point and agree with it.
We'll have to disagree. I think Ramos was pretty clearly a more talented/skilled fighter than Chacon. Power, obviously goes to Ramos. There could be no debate on that.
There could be plenty of debate, I’d say. Chacon does have the better KO record, and he faced superior opposition while building it. I do agree with you, though. Ramos was more powerful and generally 2 levels above as a physical specimen. Bobby didn’t get the name “Schoolboy” for no reason. He could just really, really fight.
Bobby was a great fighter. I just personally feel that the Ramos who beat Moore (tragic ending aside) was better than any version of Chacon I saw.
