Dead at 59 from pugilistic dementia and Parkinson’s. Excellent boxer-puncher. Pulled one of the biggest upsets in the sport's history. Rest easy, champ.
In a perfect world pro boxing would exist, Frankie Randall would be alive and Stevenson Adonis would not.
Sometimes I think it would be better if we just sort of went out like the Replicants in Blade Runner. Just sort of shut down like a machine at age 40 having enjoyed unfettered power. Maybe. If Frankie Randall had been a sprinter, a basketball player etc his passing would be front page news.
At the very least, commissions wouldn't allow a boxer to return to the ring a mere month after being KO'd by Marco Antonio Rubio.
From a matchup point of view, I always wondered how a prime Randall vs Tszyu matchup would have gone.
Alright, I try not to pull Mod rank, but let's keep Stevenson off this topic. This thread should be a tribute to Frankie Randall.
Randall Hatton would be a great fight all the same. Its not like it woukd be Randall and Hatton, Deceased. (only old Brits will get that joke)
I find them all very dated now. Make sure you watch the Vicar of Dibley Christmas Special. Frankie Randall vs Amir Khan.... I think Khan is big and spastic enough to be ahead when Randall finally gets on top.
He would but I think his sanguine approach would see him behind by the the time he did it. Bad Left Hook tribute article says Randall dropped Chavez in the first round. Ffs
When you watch that right hand, I can't see where the power comes from. I think he turns it over at the very very last moment but there's no turnover really and very little discernible snap
Q: How was Your Christmas? Do Anything Special? A: Oh, it was Wonderful! I Spammed a Boxing Messageboard All Day w/HumorLESS, PointLESS Trolling! Good Times! You? Dude was "Sad" 5+ Years Ago...Now He's PATHETIC... REED
