But nah, I was obviously joking. Ortiz would handle Mancini considerably easier than Arguello did imo. Mancini would take a vicious beating and get stopped in about 9-10.
Ortiz would chop Mancini to pieces. About Arguello v Mancini...I've watched that fight at least 100 times and I have a different opinion about it than most. Mancini fought his heart out but Arguello was never threatened; he took his time, worked the body and let Mancini hustle and scramble. I don't think that Arguello ever had much doubt that he could end the fight whenever he decided to do so. Arguello was blocking most everything but Mancini's jab, which was curious to me for a while, but, really, he let Mancini jab coming and hit his body. The fight is similar to the Canizales v Bones Adams fight, in that the outcome was never in doubt even if one guy did better than expected.
I think most ppl see it that way now. Mancini just has a lot of groupies that push the "He was giving Arguello Hell" crap. No, he gave a good ACCOUNT of himself against Arguello - he did not give Arguello Hell. My thought in this matchup is that I think Mancini would have less competitive pockets against Ortiz.
