Lewis beats Fury up. Briedis probably stops Gomez. JCG never really impressed me like he has others. Beterbiev receives the ass-whupping of the century. Canelo gets thoroughly out-worked. Hopkins schools any GGG. He may even stop this verison. Tito gives Charlo an ass-whupping which is an honourable mention to Jones' of Beterbiev. De La Hoya beats Spence and Crawford. Hell, Ike beats both. Tszyu beats Taylor but it's no blow out. Floyd schools Lopez. Pacquiao hurts Berchelt. Hamed destroys Narravete and the actual top FW right now: Warrington. Warrington being essentially, a shit Paul Ingle. Vazquez mauls and stops Nery. Inoue likely stops Sahaprom, sadly. Was Darchinyan even Pro in 2000? I thought he lost to Donaire, at fly, in '06. Doesn't matter, Too Sharp was way better anyhow. He'd beat any of the top SFlys, but Chocolatito definitely isn't the best right now. Ioka probably is. Rungvisai should KO both Estrada and Roman in rubber matches. Martinez is way too unproven to be taken over Pong.
I'm critical of Kostya Tszyu, but in all honesty, he would beat the shit outta Josh Taylor. Badly. Josh is out here getting swelled up by Regis and Baranchyk. Kostya would have DESTROYED his face. Tszyu loved southpaws.
Lewis would have showed the world how overrated Fury is, and how he only looks good because Wlad was a corpse and Wilder can't fight a lick. Lennox sparks that cokehead, I don't give a shit what any Fury groupie says.
Hold on, I just went over that list... You do know that Floyd was the junior lightweight champion in 2000, right? Pac wasn't a junior lightweight until like what? Circa 05, I wanna say. Stevie Johnston was the lightweight champion in 2000. Anyway, Corrales executes Berchelt, let alone Floyd. If you wanna match junior lightweight Floyd against the kid he currently promotes... well, I don't think I have to state the obvious of what Floyd would do to Tank. There would be a funeral in B-More.
Corrales vs berchelt woulda been a war 2000 mayweather Jr vs the best 130 lber today would be a helluva chess match. He avoided southpaws back then
Cmonnnnn, more like an execution. Berchelt is decent, but he's not in Chico's class.... not even close. Corrales would have given him a horrific beating.
Oh, you matched Tszyu with Ramirez, not Taylor. Ouch. You must dislike poor Ramirez. Kostya would have ended his career.
Nothing Chico didn't see against a bigger man than Berchelt in Castillo. And that's not even mentioning that JL Castillo was a different class of fighter than Berchelt. I don't get the Berchelt hype outside of him being a good fighter. He'll beat Valdez, but.... it's just Valdez. Corrales would have knocked him out inside of 6.
Corrales was fortunate to win the first Castillo fight and that was at 135. Berchelt isn't Castillo but he's not a punk. He'd give Corrales a tough fight at 130 I think Lopez would stop johnston who was toward the end by 2000. Either on cuts or tko
Yeah, Johnston peaked when he beat Manfredy (his best performance) and started to decline after that. I think Fimo catches Stevie with a bomb and stops him. Why? Because Johnston would fight him, unlike Mr. "Ohhh, my imaginary shoulder injury!"
Don't let Double L hear you say that Hamed beats Narravete. He hates Hamed, and thinks Narravete is the next Chavez. The reality is, you're not wrong. Hamed would have knocked Narravete's head into the cheap seats.
Let's have some fun and do a 2005 vs 2020 comparison so we can match Teofimo against Baby Cow Diaz. What a glorious ass whuppin that would be.
Pretty much agree with all, except i think gomez decision breidis, and canelo takes a close controversial one over jc
That would be a pleasure to watch. The thrill i missed out on mistakenly attending the marquez- diaz rematch hoping for a replica of the first. Happy new year bro
Calzaghe vs Canelo would be so one sided that not even Nelo's judges can save him. Joe would dominate. It's not even about there being a huge gap in class, it's about it being a TERRIBLE style matchup for Canelo. Between the Supermiddleweight "Big 4" (Jones, Ward, Calz, Toney).... Nelo might not win a round in any of them. Those guys ain't Callum Smith.
No way. Calzaghe is insanely overrated. He lost rounds against much worse fighters than Canelo. Clenelo is not jeff lacy. Hes a good enough counterpuncher to catch joe in the middle of his flurries. Would be close, and it could go jc way, but i think canelo lands the better harder punches
Calz beat a prime Kessler when he was in his mid 30s. I don't think I need to explain how big a gap there is between Kessler and Callum. Canelo's speed is looking deceptive right now because Kov is a corpse and Smith is slow. Different story against Joe.
Of.course these guys are much better than smith, but it doesn't really matters since canelo didnt lost a second against smith. Again, i dont think canelo is all that, but hes good enough to make it close against jc, and making it close gives him a win
Canelo's not bad at all, but I think it's more fair to match him against Froch. He's out of his depth against Joe.
in 2000 Tszyu was broadly considered by the majority of press, pundits etc to be inferior to Judah, so really it should be Judah vs whomever at superlightweight in 2000.
