Saad did it on the highest level, therefore he gets my vote.

    Saad and Gatti stand out.

With Gatti, it wasn’t always winning, but just being able to absorb horrible beatings and going on. He looked done against Ward in the 9th round, but survived and won the 10th round, and had a case for deserving the decision (I scored it 94-94). Same thing with the first Robinson fight.

If Fury didn’t somehow get up from that final round knockdown, I would have Wilder on here. He was getting schooled that first fight with Ortiz, despite what the judges said. And was losing the 2nd fight too.

Rocky Graziano surely takes the cake. He had at least THREE fights (vs. Cochrane, Janiro, and Fusari) where he pulled the fight out in the final round while behind on the cards. That's not even taking into consideration numerous other fights where he reportedly rallied from an early deficit to win, including his title-winning effort vs. Zale.

Wilder loses any round where he doesn't ice a guy.

The non-fighting oaf that he is.

Joe Calzaghe warrants a few mentions.

He was all over the place, momentarily, versus Mitchell and immediately turned it around.

He was also in a nice bit of trouble versus Jones and took over fairly shortly there after.

Same as in the Hopkins and Kessler fight, where he was in a good hole on the cards and had to work it out down the stretch.

Not "typical" comeback victories but he was losing all of those fights until he got going.

On the theme of Lightheavyweights, Pastrano had one of the better come frome behind KO wins when he stopped Terry Downes.

I had not either until just now, but Asian Boxing has some of his fights available, so ill watch a few either tonight or tomorrow.

Looks like he never fought for a world title, but was the Japanese bantamweight champion.

Thats what's great about having RD around.

@roughdiamond Drop a few names of some lesser known Japanese action fighters, so I can see what fights of them are available. They don't have to be former world champs, as Japanese world champs are more than credible enough.

Japanese fighters are like Irish fighters. Every now and then a good one comes along. Irelands only WBC champ actually won his belt vs a Japaneser.

On the British level.... Bobbie Vanzie is your man.

His fights with Steven Smith and Steve Murray were great come from behind stoppages in defence of his British Lightweight Title.

He eventually ran out of luck when he faced Yuri Romanov who had too much for Vanzie.

The suddenness of the stoppage in the Smith fight was shocking. Smith was wayahead on the cards by quite a stretch but Vanzie had softened him up with some legal and illegal body punching. Smith just suddenly seemed to totally unravel. It was one of those fights where Vanzie would be 20-1 to get a KO at that point in time.

There was no sudden massive KO shit and the knockdown was one of those where the guy sort of just gives way from a flurry.

Literally Smith just went to pieces.

Interestingly, Vanzie career was finally ended by a guy called Graham Earl who had himself an up and down career marked by a comeback mentality which eventually left him a few pizzas short of a parlour.

There's a shitload of great Japanese fighters in the history of the lower weights though, including the consensus top 3 P4P guy.

Have you seen fights of Jiro Watanabe?

I would start with Watanabe, or Yoko Gushiken. Or the Japanese GOAT, Fighting Harada.

Since I didn't know where else to post this at, @George Crowcroft I just uploaded two Julio Cesar Borboa fights. I forgot I had them.

Borboa is pretty underrated. Really decent fighter.

Or if just Asian lower weight greats in general, you can check out the Korean GOAT Jung Koo Chang.
