In talks for May. Thoughts on this fight if it happens? My initial thought was that Golovkin crushes him, but Golovkin is an old man, and seems to only look good at this point against fall guys. Munguia isn't great, but he's at least young, strong, and will punch back. I think the chance for an upset will be there, whereas Munguia wouldn't have had much of a chance against the Golov of 5-6 years ago.
I hope Munguia wins, petty as it sounds. Derails both the easy picking Golovkin and cash cow Canelo's future fight plans.
I didnt see his last fight at 160 but watched his fight against O' Sullivan and he's pretty easy to find. Dont see how GGG doesnt stop this guy.
How is his chin questionable?? His defense sucks but he seems to have a reliable whisker. Will it hold against a huge puncher though that is another question. Agreed, prime GGG crushes him but now I think it's interesting and an upset wouldn't shock me totally
For the record, I AM picking Golovkin by stoppage. My point is, the possibility of a Munguia upset now exists, whereas he wouldn't have a chance with a prime Golov. We've seen bigger upsets.

The way I see Mowgli Munguia vs GGG.........Mowgli goes out there, unafraid, and puts it on him, and if GGG has anything left, Mowgli beats it out of him until GGG chin checks him. If Mowgli passes it, he wins. I really expect Mowgli to go out there and really put it on him.
