I think Pintor. His parrying was absolutely outstanding. One of the most skilled Mexicans ever in that regard, for me.
Agreed. I do think Moon puts up a helluva fight though. The fight would be basically even through 8, if not Moon with the edge. But starting in the 9th, that's when Pintor's body attack and amazing stamina starts to take its toll. By the 11th or so, Moon would be taking a beating, and I see Lupe forcing a stoppage circa 12 or 13.
Watching Pintor's best performance is hard, but it shows how brutal a body puncher he was. I don't think Moon can stand up to the body work Pintor landed on Owen. I think Pintor's subtle defence and investment downstream is the difference through ten, and then why Moon is stopped thereafter.
If you're referring to the Owen fight, I can't watch it. I've seen enough of it to understand the tenor of the fight, but I can't watch the full thing knowing the outcome. I've SEEN the final knockdown, it's too distrubing. I can't watch death fights in general, with the ONE exception being Ramos vs Moore. I've watched Ramos-Moore several times, and I guess it doesn't bother me as much because Moore ended up passing out in the dressing room, so you never actually view anything wrong with him. With Johnny Owen, you view literally the last time he ever stood up. He never got up again from that final KD.
Yeah, I do mean The Owen fight. For the first 7/8 rounds, both was absolutely tremendous, but obviously it hot quite dark after that. TBH, I don't actually much of an issue watching fights where somebody died. I know it sounds heartless, but if it was years before I was born, it just doesn't bother me. I don't make a habit of watching them or whatever, but I don't turn it off by the time it gets to the end.
