I thought that was aimed at me. I was like "if I want to waste my Christmas FIGURING out why a guys punch was more powerful than it looked THEN I FUCKING WELL WILL" LOL
No. I'm from New York but I am a Munster Rugby fanatic who has 2 season tickets for a long time. U from Munster?
Nope I'm Irish and from Wicklow/Dublin but not really a leinster fan more of an Ireland fan. How did you find this site, we don't exactly advertise!!
Cheers, Lad. I would support all 4 provinces and the National Side as well. But Im a crazed Mumha supporter. If Munster dont win I shout for the other 3 as well. Xplosive recommended this site to me. I already like it!!!
Glad you like it. Yeah, the crew we have now is getting along nice. You new recruits from Classic have been blending well with all the FB legacy posters. And now you dont have to to worry about ESB general forum nonsensical trash viewpoints.
Well that's something I guess. I don't dislike provincial Rugby I just don't follow it. This used to be a semi active place but personal differences over Covid and drove wedges between members. Guilty, as charged. Regards Rugby AND Frankie Randall, I've always found it funny how the Powers brush these affairs under the carpet. I didn't know that Frankie Randall had PD, or that there was a burgeoning lawsuit being brought by the rugby lads either.
Cheers, Lad. I love the National Side as well. I will never forget Frankie against Chavez. It was evident why he was called the Surgeon. I know he battled demons for a long time but what a fighter when right.
When I was a kid back then I could never get any fights. I used to go into Easons on O Connell Street to read the magazines and get the results. I read about Ibeabuvhi beating Byrd and Byrd beating Vitali on that newsstand
I recently watched that first JCC fight. It was a great fight, and more deserving of FOTY than The Ring’s winner Jorge Castro-JD Jackson 1. That was just a crazy comeback. It always kind of rubbed me the wrong way how Randall got screwed in the rematch, and then JCC/King avoided the rematch (until a decade later). The WBC rule with the cuts and headbutts was ridiculous.
Erratic, moreso than that even, Dr. Flip Homansky, who examined Chavez' cut stated afterwards that he was going to allow the fight to continue, but Chavez said he didn't wish to, so it went to the scorecards. But when the fighter doesn't wish to and the Doctor is giving him the green light, that is a retirement. It should never have been allowed to go to the scorecards.
I also thought Randall should've been ahead on the cards regardless. It was a flagrant robbery on every front IMO.
Neil, my point is, if the doctor says he can continue and the fighter says no, then that is a retirement. It should never have gone to the cards, so any point deduction is meaningless. A lot of concessions were granted Chavez in that fight.
