Mando was a massive waste if talent IMO. I don't think he'd ever have been good enough to reverse the loss to Laguna, or be a serious challenge to Duran or Ortiz, but he was one helluva talent. It stands to reason that Mancini wouid be a challenging fight for him though. Stylistically, Ramos reminds me a lot of Arguello, but obviously, was nowhere near as good. Mancini didn't disgrace himself vs AA, and likely improved a little when he won the title. Not to mention, a lot of Ramos' struggles came against strong, aggressive fighters. All that being said, I do think that Ramos wins this and does so quite comfortably. He's just a better fighter. I think if he's at his best, then he gets his timing down quick, and walks Mancini on to constant rights. Not to mention giving him a steady diet of jabs. I feel like Ramos' chin and feet were good enough to keep himself out of trouble when/if he gets hurt and ride out those rough moments. I think the combination of sharpness, volume and Mancini's shit defence makes me think that Ramos would score a Bramble-esque stoppage late on IMO. Could only be a great fight. I think Cruz was better than Mancini, but Mancini would likely win that one due to styles IMO. From what I've read, Mando really put in a Spartan effort to win his title back, and so the first Carrasco fight may well be his best performance.
Love this fight! Ramos was more talented, Ray was probably more consistent. Bloody fight and stoppage win for Mancini because Mando would get dragged into a war and Ray was stronger.
