Was sat on my phone after the fucking West Brom game, about £150 in the kitty, made another £45 or so on the Roulette so I went out and bought himself a bed in the sales. Made in Germany by German cunts, £75 reduced to £37.50 on sale. He doesn't half like it.

Landlady loves it, loves the Picture light I got her too, so needless to say fat dykey Polish housemate put mateys bed on the floor so she could say it was under peoples feet etc.

    FFS.

Bit of groceries, bit of coffee money, drive on Irish, drive on.

5 horse premiership title race. In any other year this would be quite exciting.

I think this might be the season where four or five teams have a shot at the title going into the final week. :Hap3::cheers::Hap3:

At least Speccy was fast enough to get the gag.

Like when you drive past somebody at speed and you honk them and they respond by trying to see who you are instead of just flipping you the bird.

I was listening to a podcast about the han chinese empire last night and it mentioned that in the first century AD they sent a scout all the way along the silk road across tibet, the himalayas etc to try and learn what they could about the roman empire. Historians think the Han and Roman empire's were almost identically sized at that moment in history both in landmass and population (within like 5-10% anyway), like eastern and western mirror images facing each other across eurasia, but with each only knowing of each other through the fables and third hand rumours of merchants. The han didnt even know what the romans were called or vice verca, only that some far-off counterpart as great as themselves existed. I found that shit fascinating. Apparently said scout made it to the eastern edge of the med, possibly somewhere around modern lebanon and witnessed Roman troops, outposts etc and was well impressed but was discouraged from going on to Rome by lying locals who told him that the med was so treacherous it would take him months or years if he made it at all. Historians fancy he'd probably just had enough and wanted to go home. Who back home would ever know the difference? Sounds like there's a good movie in that somewhere.

And the West sent Marco Polo the other way. He fucked a couple of streetwalkers and stole a few bags of Chinese noodles. Came back to Italy. Poured marinara sauce on the noodles and became the inventor of spaghetti.

Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, Gibbon. Most pertinent. Apropos of the current milieu as it were.

Liverpool were fucked by draws in 2008/2009

Beat United and Chelsea home and away.

Drew at home vs Stoke in a game where we had a goal wrongly chalked off and drew with them again on a horrid bitterly cold night in January.
