Pryor versus the following: Pac Duran Floyd Tszyu Chavez Whitaker Benitez Mosley Carlos Ortiz DLH Locche Napoles
I've said before that I think Pac hits too hard and is too fast for Aaron at 140. I can't see anybody walking into that kinda firepower with such a poor defence. Pryor's workrate gives Duran a good fight, but Duran counters him silly and stops him late. Great fight, but I don't think it's a particularly close thing at all, and I think there's definitely only one man winning. Plus, I don't know how Pryor would react to being put on the back-foot, and how he'd cope with Duran in the pocket. I think Pryor is awful for PBF. Floyd would have absolutely nothing to keep him off, and Pryor's feet were really underrated in terms of speed. Hatton managed to close the gap at times as I recall, and his feet weren't as quick as Pryor's. Obviously Castillo and Maidana gave Floyd all he could handle with pressure. I don't think they brought the same level of heat that Pryor would. Tszyu would give him a good fight early on, but Pryor takes his toll late (especially over 15) and he'd stop him in the championship rounds. If Phillips can break KT down, Pryor definitely can. I think Chavez beats Pryor, in a close, great war. It comes down to me imagining Chavez landing cleaner. Although I suppose Pryor could do what Taylor did, and out-work Chavez. Unlike Floyd, Whitaker did brilliantly against pressure fighters. I think he'd win this one, but it'd be unbelievably hard and likely a close - controversial, even - decision. I do think Whitaker's jab is the key to winning, though. I tend to think Benitez at 140 wasn't solid, mature or tough enough to survive 15 with Pryor. I know, I know, he beat Cervantes, but Antonio was never gonna put this sorta pressure on him and I feel like he'll crack here. Curry came way too close to beating him for me to pick him here. Mosley's speed and power gives Pryor issues, but it's another case of a fight where I think Pryor out-works the other guy, and really takes it home during the stretch. Damn, Ortiz is a tough one. My thoughts is that Ortiz takes it, although the Loi fights give me pause. I think it's pretty certain that Loi lost all three in reality, but it's not like Ortiz dominated. I think Pryor gives Ortiz issues, but it'd be really tough for me to pick him to win over somebody as good as prime Ortiz. DLH starts well, giving Pryor a great fight, but Pryor's attack wears DLH down and I feel like he really gives Oscar a pasting after the sixth or seventh. There's noway somebody with the stamina of DLH even comes close to beating Pryor IMO. Locche gets put on the defensive, and never mounts enough offense to win multiple rounds. Pryor wins a very, very wide decision. Napoles counters and stops Pryor in a fight which looks like a combo of the Pac and Duran descriptions. Napoles is my 140 H2H GOAT. I think he'd stop Pryor late.
I think Mosley is a bad matchup for Pryor. Actually, a horrible matchup for Pryor. I see Shane knocking Pryor out late.
