Dorin vs Augustus was a classic example of a guy with a great amateur background vs a guy with great innate ring smarts and mojo..... A taught boxer vs a thought boxer.

 

Well not sure anyone beat hell out of Augustus...

 

Dorin beat him up a lot more impressively than Ward did.

Then when Augustus was well past his prime he took a HORRIFIC beating from Provodnikov.

 

Yeah I remember following Ward vs Augustus on seconds out and it seemed Augustus had what it took to win but preferred to clown and leap about

 

Well, I wouldn't say that. Floyd beat the shit outta him. Yeah, Augustus gave it a good showing, but ultimately Mayweather lit him up.

And Provodnikov destroyed him, but Augustus was an old man by then.
