I don't get to watch every L'pool match (and don't get me started on how NBC Sports has fucked over American fans this season) but people are saying on football forums that Klopp's system requires a decent rotation of players and they're not getting that this season. So he's putting out exhausted players.

    Any truth to that?

We had a longtime baseball announcer for the Cincinnati Reds lose his job this summer after they cut back to him after a commercial to hear "The fag capital of the world!" He apologized like a thousand times. But he was a goner. I just want to know what city he was talking about.

I had a good reply printed to Wisers question about burnout but now I can't print it as my "Refurbished Acer Apsire 1, £109.99" crashed and froze.

It is a high intensity style of football but in the modern era and with so many competitions pretty much every club at the top needs some rotation. Problem is Liverpool has been hit by a lot of injuries. Even the guy they brought in (Jota) to provide some more depth got injured as well.

They should have a regular "straight" commentator along with one ultra from both sides during old firm games.

People who don't even watch football would tune into that innit. :Jest:

The breadth and variety of things they could tangent into fighting about would be dizzying.

Haha exactly. I think it would also be hilarious for the lead announcer trying to concentrate on describing the on field action while the other two go off.

He has to regularly apologize for his colleague's behavior and comments. Then he doesn't bother any more and they just have an apology plastered on screen every two minutes like clockwork even if there was a rare silence.

it's my own fault, really. There's no such thing as a cheap laptop. Cheap laptops are like cheap whores. You regret it sooner, or later, and there's usually a virus involved.

Yeah you're better off with a desktop if portability isn't important. If it is, then looking for a good used one in the classifieds might be better long term. Of course that's a bit of a gamble too but i would take that risk over some store "special" where they try to wow you with price and specs but omit the fact the machine is built out of the parts bin.

They used to do that in the Premier League but it wasn't hooligans, it was hard core supporters. It was called "Fanzone." Everton were represented by "Fat Mick" who worked in a factory in Wigan.

I can't understand why Arsenal terminated three contracts instead of trying to sell the players. Okay, Sokratis I get. He's old as fuck, he sucks and no good team would want him. But Ozil and Mustaffi would definitely be sought by other clubs.

I have been following English football since '04 but really never delved into the economic part of it. I realize it differs quite a bit from US sports.

Not sure about Mustafi but they needed to get Ozil off the books due to his insane wages. No club was going to take on that salary and pay a transfer fee on top of it.

I need to read Soccernomics soon. I figured it was something like that. And I never caught what the deal was with the standoff with him and the club. Why he hadn't been playing lately.

Combination of factors from what i've read. Some fans weren't happy with him not putting in enough effort on the defensive side of the game and appearing too lackadaisical at times. His inconsistency certainly warranted criticism but the body language thing is pretty stupid. Pretty much from the start Arteta basically froze him out. Then the nail in the coffin was Ozil's comments about China's treatments of Ugyir (or however you spell it) muslims. Criticizing China doesn't go over well for rea$son$. Look no further than the NBA.

So it's similar to the Gareth Bale situation with Real Madrid but in Ozil's case there was an added political/economic angle.

Oh Zill was also getting a bit political and harming their merchandise sales in CHYNAH. Can't be having that.

Ozil did not agree to the pay cut the club had asked them to take collectively in order to save club employees' jobs during pandemic. The rest took the cut and the club went ahead with redundancies anyway. I wonder how that went down with players, he was probably rightfully skeptical, and they must feel pissed and foolish, at least I would..

If he disagreed with the paycut because he saw the underhandedness coming then fair play to him. As well off not being made a cunt of twice. But I doubt he did. He had also become a political burden, again if the Wiggers of Western China were Christian he'd not have been such a problem child. It's always the same with these people.

Yeah United really blew it, some really amateur defending there and Everton took full advantage......

Has anybody else noticed that United are back doing their little "Hands in the air" trick under OGS?

That used to be a staple in the Fergie era, put your hand up, mob the ref.
