*edit- Me, my best mate & our respective partners went to liverpool for an irish music festival in the summer of 1BC (before covid) & i'd booked us an air bnb near anfield/goodison to save a few quid. As we got there the taxi driver paused and said 'are you sure guys? Are ye sure you wanna get out here'. Im like 'well i was sure'. I think big shopping centres probably do have to go or at least get totally & utterly reimagined. And i won't miss them a bit. 'The high street', as in the main urban streets of our towns, is obviously another matter. Making this a pretty misleading headline since this just happens to be an 8os indoor shopping centre on a street called 'high street! I'd say those plans look good.

 

Note how it is always Stockton or the like that gets lined up for these good ideas. The day you see struggling stores in London get fucking Blitzed so Denzel and Aktar have somewhere to skateboard, you come back and let me know.
