Briggs-Lyakhovich had 11 rounds of slog until Briggs wakes up from his astmha attack to KO Lyakhovich out of the ring. What's the worst fight you've seen that ended with a KO?

Mike Jones vs "3 time champion" Randall Bailey IMMEDIATELY came to mind.

Horrible, horrible, horrible fight up until the KO.

Gainer Norwood was such a train wreck, that I don't think it was that bad

Washington vs Martin I think it was on the undercard of Fury-Wilder II. I was so pissed I might have the both names wrong but it was definitely two American heavyweights and it was a fucking awful fight but a decent KO.

Briggs-Liakhovich was the first to come to mind when I read the title, and then it was the first example. I remember someone here described it as “watching bad porn”.

Gainer-Norwood was kind of fun in its train wreck way.

Tua vs Maskaev was pretty damn boring until the late Tua KO.

A lot of Tua fights were fairly dull before he would land that left hook and get them outta there. I remember Rocky Juarez had some nice left hook KOs, but was inactive beforehand. I don’t remember the Antonio Diaz fight being any good before that highlight reel KO

There was me just trying to remember a ruiz victory that ended in a ko. Ding ding.

Wlad-Mormeck isnt the worst but Wlad deserves dishonourable mention for how needlessly and disgracefully stinky he made such a straight forward fight with such an undermatched opponent. It was like he had big money on how many dozen clinches he could initiate per round before the ref would make a peep.

I think the stoppage might have even been a tad pre-mature, but the fight was so dreadful that once Oquendo was hurt the ref's intentions seemed to be stepping in to save everybody from having to witness any more rather than protecting Fres.

The feeling based upon the crowd and commentary was one of relief that it was over. It was around the time Don King cards were 90% dirge.

The Diaz brothers. I agree his younger brother Julio had a more shall we say crowd pleasing style. I always considered Antonio a career journey man type fighter. Always had the same dumb style.

It was actually the complete opposite. Julio was dull, and Antonio was an action fighter.

Antonio's fights with Robinson, Ward, and Margarito were all wars.

Julio was pretty underwhelming in terms of action.

You thought Khan vs Diaz and Thurman vs Diaz was underwhelming?

I think Julio was an action fighter in his own right just had a little more tools than his brother. He could jab and box a little vs Antonio who had zero head movement typical come forward mexican style.

As i said, there was no ko, and it was a decent fight. Not as good as the commentators claimed it was, but far from bad

Antonio Diaz was an all-action brawler. He had a few good wins, including a toe-to-toe slugfest with Mickey Ward, then was KO'd by Mosley in a title shot followed by an up-and-coming Margarito and faded away.

Julio Diaz was more of a boxer/technician though his fights could be exciting as well. His lost a highly controversial decision to Angel Manfredy, then was bombed out by a supposed journeyman in the 1st round. I was shocked to see him still hanging around at the time of Thurman and Khan.
