Its been done before in the past, but anyway, who wins?

Two of the top 10 best offensive fighters in history imo. Both had a weakness for hard partying.

Gomez beats him white and snotless. Olivares takes too many hits down the line.

Agreed. Olivares was too wild and slow for a guy like Gomez

I don't actually think that by the way, that's a cocaine joke.

Olivares wasn't slow - certainly not the version that blasted Rose.

Gomez was quicker though- of hand and foot. Gomez also had much better reflexes, which lead to him getting hit less.

I'm not saying he was slow per se. But he was too slow for a guy like Gomez imo

I don't there's a discernible disparity in hand-speed. Both were quick, but neither were Lightning Boy quick. I think the difference here is that Gomez has a better chin - although neither were Wayne McCullough - and he throws much straighter. Olivares' biggest and perhaps only technical weakness is that he could wing his shots a little wild. I can't see Gomez not taking advantage of that. And that'd end up being quite brutal.

I think Olivares would do much better than Zarate did, though. Especially if he treats it like he did for the most part vs Arguello - where he avoids trading.

Agreed that he fares better than Zarate.

Gomez was a bit quicker and smoother operator. I think that's the deciding factor.

Gomez was just tougher. Neither had great chins, but Olivares capitulated easier. If Gomez went out, he went out on his shield. I think that’s the most important difference in a fight between the two.

    Agreed. I think that's a big factor.

You had to really beat the ever living shit outta Gomez to get him out - Sanchez and Nelson.

Olivares was prone to go easier and quieter.
