If Choc pulls this out, does he give Rungs a 3rd fight

Good fight, but felt it was a bit too much of a slap fest to be considered a great one though. I don't see neither has being in the same class as JMM, Barrera, Morales (or even Lopez) or any of the greats Latin fighters of the last decades (which isn't really a slight as mighty few fighter can reach that stage).

Yes, I dont feel neither was putting much behind his punches. Still a very good fight though

    Had it a draw.

Having it for Estrada is fine. Having it 117-111 is terrible.

Credit to Chocolatito, seems like a class act. Kind of feel bad he didn't get the decision after this

I bet some guy sitting in the row in front of me at the fight and he paid me after round 12. Wasn't hard to tell what happened

Let me put a disclaimer. I only watched 1 to the 7th then had to run to the liquor store and I watched 11th and 12th so I cant say who won for sure but from what I saw I had Chocholatito winning the fight. He landed the cleaner punches. Having said that it was a close fight and both guys have seen better days. Bring in the rubber match.

It was a clear victory for gonzalez and he was jobbed out of a major (official) legacy enhancer

I don't think The Powers That Be would be interested in trying to sell a 3rd Choco-Rung fight after what happened in the 2nd. An Estrada-Rung rubber match seems like a much more ideal fight to sell.

Sounds like Rungvisai getting the runaround. He deserves a chance to regain his title before Roman gets another crack IMO.

True. But gonzalez deserves to regain it too imo. I am anxious to see estrada and rungvisai go again though.

Really high-quality boxing from both fighters. I think the 115-113 to Estrada was the right call. I'm not sure about rounds, but I do think that whenever the gas peddle was turned between the two, Estrada had slightly more power behind his combinations than Chocolatito. In that 12th round, it became decisive that the body shots were hurting Chocolatito a little.
